WW/diet at WDW support thread?

Anything like this on the boards already? I started WW 3 weeks ago and am down 8 lbs already, but with our trip a month away I'm worried about the weight gain. What do you do to keep yourself in check but still enjoy vacation food?

DH is thinking I should just follow WW as closely as possible while I'm there. I'm thinking, "hey! It's vacation!" My plan is to eat well for 2 meals a day and then to let myself really enjoy 1 meal (within reason that is, no crazy stuffing myself with a giant plate of Tavern Fried Cheese!)...maybe just a couple pieces of fried cheese :lmao:.

I'm also going to bring some cold brew tea bags so I can drink something other than water, but not feel guilty.

Any tips or tricks, ideas, etc., share them here!
 
I've been doing this for 3 years now, more than 1 trip a year. I usually eat breakfast in the room, taking cheerios with me and getting skim milk and fruit. At least that is a low point way to start the day. (I use the point system). Water, water, water....can't have enough. Take the little packets of Crystal Lite to add if you get tired of plain. At the parks there are places where you can buy fresh fruit/veggies (carrots and the like) to snack on. I think the trick is to eat little bits through out the day, so you are not starving and over indulge when you do sit down to eat. Lunches are easily do able with a salad almost everywhere. Like I said, just plan, plan, plan. And don't forget how much walking you will be doing, that certainly helps. Absolutely enjoy yourself, don't NOT have something just because of WW. Trade it off somehow. I've never come back with a gain of more than 2 pounds. You can do it!! It helps to have a supportive husband who doesn't say "Should you really be having that?" or the opposite "C'mon you can have it anyway." Quiet support is the best.:thumbsup2
 
I am someone who has always had to watch my weight. I have lost 30 lbs in the last 5 months and have 10 more to go. I was in WDW in 2008 and I ate whatever I wanted and I actually ended up loosing weight!!!! My clothes were hanging off me by the last day!!! I did tour pretty much commando style and probably walked many, many miles a day. I am going to WDW in 2 weeks and I am sure I will be walking ALOT again. I am going to eat whatever I want though. After all it is a vacation. I have found that since I lost weight I get full alot faster so you might not need to eat as much as you think. I had a ton of snack credits left ant the end in 08.
