I have recently joined WW's online and I have a question about banking points. If I bank points every day can I use all the banked points on one day?
TIA for any help

Hi Catherine,

Actually with the WW Flex & Core programs you don't bank. You get a 35 point "bank"that you can eat at any time during your week. Any AP's you earn have to be used that day.

You can certainly do your own version like the old Winning Points that used the banking method. That is certainly acceptable. I'm not sure how the Online would track it though.

I actually love and prefer the flex points. Having that 35 points already in a bank is so much easier and there is less guilt associated than there was with banking. Plus I love eating my AP points each day. That is when my body needs them anyway!

Thanks Melanie!

I think that the UK version of WW's must be different than the US one. I don't get flex points, and there is a page for banking points. I wish now that I had the 35 flex points! Hopefully WW's will update the Uk version and change from banking to flex points! :teeth:

Hi Catherine. I'm a WW receptionist here in the US. Under the old program, you were allowed to "bank" points for future use. However, the rule was that you could NOT bank more than 10 points a week, and that once the week was over, whether you had used your "bank" or not, it started again at 0 for the new week. In using your "bank", you ARE allowed to eat all 10 points in a day. Example: Your range is 18-23, you have 10 points banked, you can eat 33 points in one day. Hope that helps! :flower:

Thanks MrsJackSparrow for the info. I couldn't find any info on the WW's website, and I didn't know that I could only bank 10 points a week!

I have to say that I love WW's. I've just finished my 1st week and I've lost 14 pounds and had lots of really good food! :teeth:

Hi Catherine,

You've lost 14 pounds in 1 week?? You so rock! Way to go!

That is awesome. What a way to jumpstart and be motivated.

Just out of curiousity, why is the UK version still doing the banking points method when here in the US it has switched over to the Flex core? Does one work better than the other? I just can't get over the 14 pounds thing!!

Carrieberry, we probably don't have the US version because it always takes a while for things to be implemented here. I'm sure that in a few months (hopefully) we will have the same version! I think that everything else is the same apart from the flex points.

You're welcome, Catherine. Way to go on the 14# loss! :bounce: Just make sure you are at least eating to the lowest points in your range. If you do not eat at least that much, you will have losses early but then the weight loss will stall and you won't lose because you'll put your body into starvation mode.

Carrie, I'm not sure that UK is as bombarded with weight loss programs as we are in the US: Atkins, South Beach, LA Weight Loss, Jenny Craig, Seattle Sutton, NutraSystem. WW has a LOT of competition here and corporate physicians decided to alter the program somewhat here. One program does not promote any more weight loss than another. The programs WW has had over the years have always changed with the times. Perhaps as Catherine stated, UK is a little behind in getting the new program on board there.

Happy weight loss! :cheer2:

I haven't been given a range of points, just a set amount. I am trying to get all my points in during the day. However sometimes I have a couple left over, but I figure that if I can bank ten points a week, then that's ok. Is that right? Do I have to use the points that I've banked or can I just let them go?

Thanks!

edited to add. You're right about the UK not having lots of different weight loss clubs. Basically there are only three that I can think of. I'm sure that there are perhaps more that I do not hear about.
