WTH is wrong with people?!?!

I swear!! I picked up DD Brittany from volleyball practice. She had this nice picture of her and a group of her friends from school. One girl looked like she's been crying for days.

I said "Oh, that's a nice picture of you guys. What's it from?"

She says "Well, S has been gone for two days and at lunch today she and her dad and, I guess her caseworker came in and said she had to move to Ohio with her dad, so she came in to say goodbye and we took the picture. She has to move with her dad because her mom hit her in the back with a board."


!!!! What is wrong with people!!! This poor girl. It just made me cry to think of this girl being uprooted from her school and friends all the while with having to deal with an abusive mom, who, I am sure has mpre than likely hit her before.

We have a situation with one of older DD's friend that has me scratching my head going "WTH!!" is wrong with this mom.

Well, while it must stink for a child at this age to be uprooted like she is being, at least she won't continue to be abused by her Mom. Hopefully her Dad is a better parent.

I hope I didn't imply that she shouldn't be uprooted and moved in with her dad. I certainly didn't mean that if I came across that way. I just think it definitely stinks for her in more ways than one.
