My husband has heard that there is a beer available in Morocco at WS that's not available anywhere else in the US. Is this true?
What are some other special beers available at WS? My husband is a beer snob and would love to try some great brews during our trip!

At Sommerfest in Germany they have several good German beers from tap, including Spaten Optimator, a wheat beer, and a pilsner. Inside at the Biergarten there are even more on tap. DW loved the Radler, a beer/lemonade mix that Germans consider a women's drink.

My husband also considers himself a beer snob. When we were there in December 2001, we decided to "drink" ourselves around the world. There were some pretty funny pictures by the time we got to Canada! Of course that was pre-child...Anyway, he is generally an ale kind of guy (ipa's and such) and did not find anything in particular that blew him away, but had a great time experiencing all the different beers regardless. He thought the best beer tasting experience was at the was at the Big River Grille and Brewing Works located on the Boardwalk. Have fun!

Actually, WDW is rather "beer challanged" with respect to what they COULD have.
I believe that "Casa" is what your DH was referring to, but it's a rather lame brew and I suspect it's available somewhere else in the USA.
Those German beers are pretty good, as is the Dos Equis (amber) that you can get in Mexico.

There are some good imports in Epcot but nothing that will raise the eyebrow of a real beer snob. But the truth is, a real beer snob is used to not seeing those cult, beer snobbish beers on the menu so don't worry.

Somebody once described their drinking tour of the World Showcase as "Beers Around Kroger". I think that's about right. Actually, these day, you'll probably find more beer-snob beer at your local grocery store than you will at Epcot.

But hey, at least you've got more choices than Bud and Bud Light.

When is your trip? There's a "better" selection during F&W. I parked myself in front of a SamiClaus keg for a while a few years back.

If you're looking for some of the better ales, stouts, bocks, etc, you'll have better luck at Crossroads than at WDW. They have been getting a pretty good selection lately.

Also, as Victoria said, Big River Grille is a working brewery. They usually have 6 or so different beers at a time.

Steve, another beer/coffee/bbq snob
