Wrong address on my reservation (rented points)

I just realized - I have two reservations rented from the same owner, and the reservation address is incorrect on both. One lists his address, and the other has my address spelled incorrectly.

Does this even matter? Should I have him update both to reflect my correct address? Would he need to call to change it? We don’t travel until January 29 so plenty of time to get it sorted out if needed.

Thanks!!

If it were me, I would get it corrected. Might as well have accurate info on the reservation so that it matches your ID etc. Just in case...you never know how these systems operate behind the scenes and so on. Just for peace of mind if nothing else.

Yes, have the owner correct both.

The owner probably put himself on the first reservation to grab it with the intention of going in to change it and forgot. Sometimes the time it takes to type in the renter's information allows someone else to grab the dates.

Information on the reservation and your drivers license must match. Let the owner know now so it can be corrected. A new confirmation will be sent.

Enjoy your trip!

Agree, makes sense to have it entered properly for a variety of reasons and certainly there should be plenty of time to do so.

Over the Memorial Day weekend security at resort gate entrances (when driving in with Uber or rental car) was consistently strict in matching reservations with ID and proper name on reservations. This is also important for check in at the resort.

It is pretty easy to do. He can just go online and change it for you. I too would ask him to please get them updated correctly. In the end, I don't think it would matter in terms of your stay, but since you have a contract with him to rent, I would want it to accurately reflect your personal information.

Thanks everyone! Glad to hear he can fix it easily online as well. I hate making people call because I personally hate being on hold with Disney, lol!!

Yeah it's easy to do...but also won't matter from experience I've gone with incorrect info.

So just ask to have it fixed and if for some reason it doesn't happen don't sweat it.

another vote for having in corrected--I rented out our points for the first time this year and made an error on each one

and it was super easy to correct--and Im not good with computers so this in itself was a miracle

It is simple to do. No need to call, it can be done online in likely 2 minutes or less! Absolutely get it changed so you have nothing to worry about.

Technically, it has to match your ID. I've done all of my guests with my address and no one has cared.

This used to matter when they physically mailed Magical Express luggage tags, or magic bands.

If you are renting points, I would ask to have it fixed in case there are issues with check in. I know all my guests, so they could always pick up the phone if there were an issue. This is a very simple fix that can be done online.

Definitely have him change it.
But I don't think it'll matter.

My cousin has been first at the resort a few times, and I almost NEVER put her address in; just mine. Given that we live on opposite ends of the country (just about as far as you can get while still in the contiguous US) it's not a small difference. No one has tried to match the address on the ID to the address on the reservation.
