I am trying to find a way to not carry a bag into the park so I won't have to stop and store it. I was looking at the Vera Bradley wristlets and wondering if I could just have that on my wrist? Or would they make me store it?

This is one:

Here is another:

Thanks in advance!

I'm fairly certain they'll consider that a loose item.

Honestly, I'd much rather stow my items in the lockers and not have to worry about them than try to find a way to keep things with me on the rides.... The lockers really are super simple to use. :)

No bags. The only ones they allow are the pronged/well secured fanny packs or waist packs that aren't huge. Otherwise, the lockers are not that bad.

I use an ever fashionable fanny pack, that doesn't interfer with the restraints. I can fit my phone, small point and shoot camera, credit cards, room & AP card, id, lip gloss and any other small things I may need. If I want my better, and bigger camera to tote around, I either use the lockers or not ride the rides I need to stow it at.

I have taken my back pack with me on numerous rides without a problem (BTMRR, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, Primeval Whirl, Rockin Roller Coaster). If the bag will not fit in the storage compartment on the ride you can place it under your legs. My bag has always been sucure under my legs even when going upside down on RRC. Your wristlet should fit fine in the compartment on the ride though.

WDW may allow that but some of the UO rides do not. If u can fit your wristlet into a pocket for the ride that might work.

Yup! However, this is the Universal forum. It's easy to miss what forum the threads are on.

The only bags allowed at Universal are 3 prong waist packs, and even they have to be small and unobtrusive( they cant be the size of a toddler with all sorts of things hanging off them).Wristlets are NOT allowed.

The rides that you can not carry bags on are : Rip Ride Rocket, Forbidden Journey, Dragon Challene, Hulk, Mummy, Men in Black

A couple of years ago I went and had a small camera bag that I fastened on my belt loop. I rode everything without storing it in a locker.

Now this past November I had the same bag and I had to either stuff it in my husbands cargo shorts or put it in a locker. Funny how in 2 years that changed.

Hmmm... between my wife and my mother-in-law, I'm wondering if I'll be able to sell the "no bags in Universal" argument. May just have to use the lockers. Maybe if I offer to wear a fanny pack? (But I used to make fun of those people). ;)

Hello. I am new to DIS. I have been browsing and reading some of the posts. We are planning a trip to Disney and Universal in November. Reading this, I am confused, we are talking about bags not being allowed on just the rides, right? Not the park itself? So, if I wanted to carry a backpack all day in Universal Studios, I am allowed?

I took a bag similar to that on all the rides at Universal/IoA last year. I just undid the clasp, passed it through my belt loop, then clipped it back on. Didn't hide it or anything, and none of the greeters or loaders said a word to me. The main concerns with loose articles is that they will either be dropped or they will interfere with the safety device on the ride.

Do like my mom does ... wear the fanny pack on your shoulder or carry it most of the day, then put it on just for the ride.

Yes, bags are allowed in the park (after being searched, of course) but not on some rides.

I have a combo waist bag/crossbody bag - it's olive green and pretty small. I just wear it as a crossbody until we get into line for one of the "no bag" rides, then I shorten the strap and put it around my waist. MUCH easier than messing with the lockers every time we want to ride one of those rides (and we tend to ride them over and over).

My dd did this for the first two of our five day trip in December and then on the 3rd day it was not allowed on any of the rides it had been the day before. She even put the strap through her belt loops but was told the only waist bags allowed were those with a 3 prong fastener.

WE found US to be very strict about the no bags/loose items rule and they will make you exit the line and return without the bag if you somehow get into line with something that isn't allowed.

I have the Kipling multiple waist pack. It has a normal strap to wear it as a cross body and a separate 3 pronged strap to convert it to a waist pack. It works great.

The strap to use for the waist bag tucks away in a zippered area when you use it as a purse. Look at all the photos to see the different ways it can be worn.

Thats what I have and I do the same thing with it..Its either that are cargo pants.I hate dealing with the locker lines , especially at Forbidden journey

I have a Kipling multiple too........it's ideal as it goes on every ride with me, no problems :thumbsup2

OP, I use that Smartphone Wristlet, but here's what I do: I make sure I wear shorts with belt loops/pockets. I unclip the wristlet part, thread it through the loop, reclip in, and tuck the wristlet in my pocket. Whenever I want to buy anything/take a picture/show my express pass, I take it out of my pocket. It's still attached to me though, through my belt loop. This was fine for all rides.

Don't do it. You'll never be able to face yourself in the mirror. (I love your handle. Hope that screwtop brain surgery becomes a success)

How about eyeglasses? Will we need to remove them or wear croc straps? Thanks
