Just wondering if Disney has hopped on the rubber "livestrong-like" wrist band fad. We'll be there in May and my boys--like every other kid in America--are really into collecting these wrist bands. It would be fun for them to buy a couple while at WDW. Has anyone seen them sold in the parks? Thanks!

i was wondering the same when i went down in february of this year and looked around and found that they havent got into the wristband fad yet.

Aren't the wristbands supposed to support a specific cause or charity? I didn't realize they'd worked their way into regular old merchandise. Seems like it would take away the whole point of the original LIVESTRONG bracelets if that happened.

:earsboy:

The originals were worn by basketball players, I thought. Livestrong was the first one to do a cause - as a cancer survivor, I have that one, but it wasn't original, just a great idea to use something becoming popular as a fundraiser. Of course, now there are about a billion different ones.......

Some are still for fundraising causes, but now due to their popularity with kids, they are being sold with various messages and the cause is the retailers' wallet! ;)
