Was anyone else there on Saturday, June 6th when the two black cars had a head-on collision? It was at the 3:45 show (I think that's what time it started.) I have pics from right after it happened, but never heard anything after they kicked us out of the stadium.

Did they end up doing a later show?? Were the drivers ok?

If anyone has any information, I would be appreciative to hear some!

Thanks! :moped:

Was the show stopped at that point after the accident or did it continue?

The cars collided & no one said anything for a while. We weren't sure if it was part of the show. After a few minutes, they said sorry, but the show's over, have a nice day, & goodbye. They immediately emptied out the theater & covered the cars with a white tent.

It had been raining that day, so we wondered if they were going to do it in the first place. I guess they shouldn't have. :confused3

That's the second time I've heard of a wreck there during the show. The first time, the talked about it on the news. No one was injured badly.

We were there on June 5 (Sunday) (sat was the 4th--the 6th was a monday) and the show was on. I didn't hear or see anything about a wreck on the news. I was surprised myself to see the show go on after the huge rainstorm that came down right before show time.

Wow, must have been pretty freaky when you realised it was for real. I hope that some good came of this and they will think twice about forcing a performance in such conditions,

Sun. 6/5 at the 1pm (I think???) they had to stop the show 2x.

Once because a motorcycle stalled & they couldn't get it restarted & once to have one of the black cars taken off stage by a forklift (car stalled out too).

The show went on but... I don't know how much was cut out since this was out first time seeing it. Overall I was disappointed with what we did see. I expected more.

We saw the show on Friday 6/3 and were really surprised that they went ahead given it was raining pretty hard, but it stopped right before show time (3:55pm). They did announce the weather could cut the show short, but wow! a head on collision. We were in the park on Sunday 6/5, but didn't hear anything about it....

This was my first time too, so we had no idea what to expect. I guess we have something to look forward to on our next trip since we only saw the first few minutes.

We were there on 6/9 (Thursday) and we thought it was AWESOME- the ground was wet but the sun was starting to come out (and by the time it was all over it was pouring... :umbrella:

I was surprised (but glad) they did it even though the ground was wet.

Can you tell me how the show works,
are they at set times so we can plan for it?
I thought they were from my first readings early in the year,
but then I heard about taking Fast Passes.

We have dinner reservations at 3:40 and plans to see fantasmic
so I would like to see it after dinner.

Can anyone give me an idea how to plan this?

We went on 28th May. We had seen the show in DLP last year and DH commented that the guys here were nowhere near as skillful as those in Paris. There was a definite near-miss when one car nearly hit a scenery wall. It is still a fantastic show ( but they need to sort the queueing out - total chaos whether you had a fastpass or not) and the stunt drivers at Paris have had a lot more practise - the show is still very new, and I imagine we are still coping with the effects of early teething problems.

Just saw the show on June 11th, and there was no issues, but I think the show has some of the stunts pulled out. I talked with a CM later and she said when they first started is was 2 hrs long, they then cut and cut to 45 min, then more was cut to get it to the current ~30min show. The day we were there it was raining and I thought that the show would not happen, however the did it. I think some items were cut out, we saw nothing in the water althought the wave runner was there. Even with all of that it was a great show and I think worth the time to go see.

Just got back yesterday,

That motorcycle stalled on Thursday the 2nd too. Someone came from the back and had to give him a push start.

We did the same thing. We were able to check the schedule and Fastpass it before we ate. I don't think Fastpass was necessary because they let the regular audience in at the same time as the Fastpassers. Just arrive 30-45minutes before the show is to begin.

We saw the show on june 3 and it was great one of the best stunt shows disney has to offers. It was great got lot's of it filmed.

They have fast passes for all three shows. I thought they'd be hard to get, but they weren't. I guess the only thing a fast pass does is "somewhat" guarantee you a seat as long as you are there by the time on the ticket.

I guess it would help if you have too many things crammed into one day & you're running right down to the minute.

How long is the show in Paris??? I feel like I'm missing out on something when a show goes from 2 hours to 30 min??? Of course, I missed most of the show due to the accident.

The Paris show was around 30 minutes. Can't imagine what they would found to put in 2 hour show - this would be the length of an entire film! Maybe the time has reduced as they have got more experience?

The show we watched was almost identical to the Paris one - but Herbie didn't get chopped in half in Paris!

I saw the show way back in March and it was a car stunt show with spinouts, jumps and chases. So, I wasn't that impressed. I've seen better stunts on the NY Thruway - great chase scenes with weaving in and out of other cars and trucks going better than 70 MPH. Driving on the grass median to get past an 18 wheeler, and spinouts with rollovers. That's it - Ive found the fix - add rollovers and rip up the paved stage and put grass in - now that would be a real spectacular show !

Sorry Disney, I'm not big on car stunt shows. Give me back the original Figment and the original Diamond Horseshoe Revue.

Lights Motors Action was one of our familys highlights at MGM. Such a contrast to the many other shows. Suppose its real life not a simulation and things will go wrong somtimes. Safty is Disneys top priority so I expect they will look at this closley but as they say
"the show must go on"
Please try and see it if you are at MGM its very exciting and great fun too.
