Do you wrap as you go or wait til you're completely finished and then wrap it all at once? If you wait, is it because you hate wrapping or you don't put presents under the tree til Christmas day or something else?

Continuing.... do you wrap the stuff in stockings or just put stuff in them as is? Do you wrap Santa gifts or just presents from family?

To answer my own silly questions....

Mostly I wrap as I go as my back would break if I wrapped everything all at once. We don't have small kids anymore so everything goes under the tree as I'm done wrapping.

I do not wrap stuff in the stockings, just put the items in and then fill the rest of the free area with candy.

Santa's gifts always came from his toy shop, completely unwrapped and assembled. It made for some very long Christmas eve nights when the kids were little but it was so fun to see their faces Christmas morning!

I wrap it all at once because in general, I buy it all at once. But sometimes the timing depends on when the gift is needed - for example, if we're going to a party early in the season with a gift exchange or taking something small for people at the office, or have to put packages in the mail. At home the gifts go under the tree as they get wrapped.

I never wrap the stocking stuff and actually it really annoys me when somebody else does my stocking and wraps. I don't find it fun to try to peel layers of tape off of a chap-stick; KWIM?

My answers in green. Merry Christmas!

We tend to wrap all at once, or mostly all at once with a few odds and ends here and there, and it's probably because we generally store all our gifts in one spot and later spend one evening wrapping, pretty close to the holiday. I've always wanted to try wrap and go, but honestly, I think I'd forget what I'd bought so it would probably make it more stressful for me. As it is, this year a lot of the tags fell off the bags :headache: so we're already peeking in bags to see what's what - what a pain!

I buy, then wrap. When I wrap I wrap for each parents house and anyone we are mailing to separately, then the stuff for here. I only wrap a bigger stocking gift
I can never remember what I buy the kids (for sure-I have a list but I am always afraid I will mess it up) I also want to make sure the right gifts are going to the right houses (tags will say Mom or Grandma going to multiple places)
Mostly I am a little ocd about it :teeth: We don't even buy that much, I am just always checking

I wrap as I go and all my gifts under the tree are color coordinated. I know most people don't care about the wrapping, but I do. I tend to go over the top with fancy schmancy wrap and ribbon. I love to sit and look at the tree with all it's wrapped gifts underneath.

As far as Santa gifts...Santa doesn't wrap gifts. Not when I was a kid and not for my kid.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE wrapping presents. That, and sending out Christmas cards are a couple of my favorite things to do at Christmastime. With that being said, I wrap presents all at once. I'm not sure why, either. Wrapping items as I buy them just seems wrong! lol

I wrap as I buy. Santa gifts were always wrapped in paper with Santa Claus on it. I wrap every item in the stockings.

I don't do bows or gift tags when I wrap. I just put the initials of who the gift is for written in Sharpie. When the kids were little, I'd just write random numbers on their gifts (evens for one child, odds for the other) and keep a list for my own reference of what was in each gift. That way they never had any idea who each gift was for.

All at once. Did all the wrapping Monday, so just chilling until Christmas morning.

I wrap mostly all at once but only because I have a small house and no where to leave out a wrapping station for a few weeks at a time. Otherwise I'd love to wrap as I go because I hate wrapping and also because I love when presents gradually accumulate under the tree. AND because no one can peek as easily at the gifts. I almost never use gift bags at Christmas because I love the act of unwrapping on Christmas morning and it's too easy to peek, and we travel for Christmas and it's easy for the tissue and bags to get damaged in transit.

Santa does not wrap gifts. He brings one gift for each child from his workshop and it is assembled and ready to play with under the tree. He also fills their stockings and never wraps those gifts either besides maybe an occasional festive bow.

I wait until the 23rd or 24th to wrap everything so I don't forget what I got everyone. I don't wrap stocking things. Santa gift is always unwrapped. We don't put the gifts under the tree until kids have gone to bed on the 24th.

I wrap when I am done because if I do it as I go, I forget what I got for people and just keep buying.
This is me too.
Nothing goes under the tree until Christmas Eve after the children go to bed. Everything is wrapped that night. I keep a spreadsheet of what I have purchased for everybody and I check it off as I wrap so that I make sure I don't forget anything.

We do have a another tree in our living room where the kids are allowed to store their friend's presents if they want to see presents under a tree. But nothing under the family tree until Santa comes during the night. Still stick to that tradition now that the kids are older. But I don't frantically hide everything anymore. Most of the presents are sitting in my front hall in the Amazon boxes they were shipped in.

I wrap all at once. A marathon wrapping session as I watch A Christmas Story two or three times through on Christmas Eve. Since Santa comes here, this is happening until about 2am. Gifts go under the tree then. Everything under the tree is wrapped. Santa has assembled things like doll houses and then wrapped them so they're already set up. This used to all occur in my basement, but we renovated last year and the tv and carpet are no longer down there. I might try hiding out in the camper this year. Those darn kids want to catch Santa in the act. Stocking stuffers aren't wrapped. DH said every item in his stocking was always wrapped in tissue paper. I told him if he wanted to continue that tradition, he could have at it, otherwise, it wasn't happening. The items have stayed unwrapped.

I forget what I got for people and just keep buying.

I wrap after I'm done buying. I love wrapping and totally colour coordinate the paper to the bow and ribbon and gift tag. It's not unusual for me to spend five minutes picking the name tag- I have about 200 :O
Before I lost them in a garage fire earlier this year I had 37 rolls of wrapping paper..no joke.
Stocking stuffers are wrapped but not as fancy. They usually don't have bows or ribbon. They're also nicer gifts too..slippers, underwear, puzzles.. That sort of thing. One year I got a bakers rack and humidifier in mine LOL
Santas present is never wrapped either.

I wrap in several sessions when I'm done shopping. It takes me forever, because I also have a stockpile of ribbon, paper and tags that I use to make everything "look fancy" as my DS says. I enjoy wrapping when I have the peace to do it -- which usually happens while the kids are in school or my husband takes them out to do something.

I wrap a few stocking stuffers in each stocking but most are unwrapped. I never wrap the small items or the candy.

Large Santa gifts come unwrapped and fully assembled. The other Santa gifts come in plain brown craft paper with their names in black marker.
