Some have posted previously looking for ideas on how to wrap up a trip to Universal for under the tree. I stumbled upon this idea while wrapping my son's ticket to a 76er's/Cavaliers game.

I took pictures of Allen Iverson and Lebron James and a copy of the e-ticket and glued them inside the bottom of a shirt box. (I also mod podged over them). Of course the box still feels as though it is empty! I folded tissue paper and placed it into the box. Now when you open the box and unfold the tissue, it seems as though I forgot to put the gift in the box.

hahahaha! Cool :) Somehow it reminds me of Christmas last year. My mom had me open the "big present" last. It was a clothing box and I opened it to find...a t-shirt. Okay.....I lifted it up and read aloud, "Dude..." I sat there staring at the shirt, wondering "why the heck?? how is this the big present?" My parents had to tell me to turn the shirt over where it finished " you're gettin' a DELL" hahaha...embarrassing...

If I got the box like you wrapped it, I'd be telling my mother, "You must be getting older, Mother...you forgot to put in the present!!!"   :p

Flyfly- That was good, DUDE! :smooth:

I'mgonnabe - I'm giving the kids tickets to Seaworld and the Dolphins/Jets game taped to the NFL tag on the new orange Dolphin's jerseys. My daughter(10) will find them. My son(15) would never find them but would probably wear the jersey with the tags on. :boat:

How do you wrap tickets to the Outback Bowl, Iowa vs. Florida Gators?
How do you wrap the present that they are going to get the biggest kick out of? For my kids that is going to be "me riding a coaster" for the first time. My kids have asked for this "present" for years. :love1: They would like nothing better than to see me get sick as a dog riding a rollercoaster. :rotfl: I'm thinking about wrapping my commitment to the bottom of some fake puke! :crazy2:

Your're a better man than I Motherfletcher. I originally thought I would tape my son's ticket to an Allen Iverson jersey, but the cost of the jersey was $55 with shipping (can't get Iverson merchandise locally) and I thought after paying $40 for the ticket that was a bit of a stretch. He is also getting the Universal trip along with about a dozen other things.

I love the fake puke idea! But really, I don't think it will be that bad. I hope you get off the coaster (which one did you decide to do?) and decide that you need to make up for lost time and ride all of the ones that were on your list. ::yes::

Hope all goes well with your wife's surgery. I will be at the parks on 12/21 and will be in the lookout for a greenish man who just lost his "virginity"! Have a blast.

For my B-I-L hockey tickets: I did the wrapped box inside another routine until finally there was a nice box of assorted jellies, wrote a card that said jelly of the month club, taped on bottomof jelly box were pair of tix. The video is sooo funny cause you cant see tix until box is turned over

Motherfletcher --- ahhh!!!!!!!!! You got tickets to the Outback Bowl?!?!?! My mom and I were stupid. We got Outback Bowl tickets last year and the year before. To our luck, my dad and I got to see our two favorite teams in those years: FL Gators, and OH Buckeyes! We decided to get my dad tickets to the one in Orlando and have my dad take my uncle this year and my mom and I would go to Universal that day. We didn't guess FL Gators would be back at the Outback Bowl or we'd probably would have gotten those. Last year we wrapped the tickets in a Florida Gators shirt.

Wanna trade? ;) ;) ;) :p J/K

I haven't nailed the Outback tickets down yet but I'm high bid on 3 club level vip seats with parking at $450.

I'm-
I could have got you some of my boy's Iverson's that he only wore once. We went to a Mexican restuarant here and they wouldn't let him in wearing the jersey. They gave him a t-shirt. I don't think they realized that the authentic black Iverson jersey cost more than our entire dinner bill for 4.
I think I'm going to do Kraken. I don't think I'll convert! If I do it will be the Hulk on the 21st. I will definitely look deflowered.

The DW pulled thru and I have been waiting on her hand and foot. Finally the kids got home from school!

MotherFlethcher, here's an idea. Why don't you get somebody to doctor an on-ride coaster picture to include you as one of the riders, next to your kids.

Here's a question. How do I wrap a ticket gift for kids too young to fully understand?

I'm getting my two five year old neices annual passes. They've been to both Universal parks multiple times and love them, but they're not really going to understand what an annual pass is or does.

So my physical gift to them is going to be an actiual trip to Universal sometime after the holidays. How do I make it clear to them on Christmas morning that that is what they're going to get?

I know about wrapping up some brouchers, but I don't think they would make the connection. Same goes with wrapping up toys with a Universal theme.

I'm not going to be able to be there with them, so I want them to understand that they are actually getting a present. Does anybody have any ideas?

-Kevin

Tape the passes to a cheap Spongebob toy and tell them the present is going to see Spongebob in person.

DocBosch,

Five year olds will GET it, take it from me!! I took my son right after he turned 6 and his 5 year old friend and they were bouncing off walls for weeks!

I agree with MF, give them theiir favorite Universal character in the form of a big toy and tell them they're going to go see them. The two year old will react on the five year olds reaction!

What a great uncle you are!

As for "packaging" Universal, we've gone to Orlando every year during Christmas vacation since he was 6 and he's now ten. It gives us both something to do during that "humdrum" week AFTER Christmas!
