Our family has a MYW package with the water park and park hopper add-ons. We check-in to BC on a saturday, but we actually arrive in Orlando on Friday. I was wondering if there is any way to start using our tickets on Friday night, so we can go to DisneyQuest. Are we not able to use our tickets until arriving at the hotel Saturday? I've never come across this before. :confused3 Thanks!

Yep. :thumbsup2 If you already have the tickets in hand you can begin using them whenever you'd like. If the tickets are part of a package you can pick them up and begin using them up to 3 days in advance.

Awesome! They are attached to put magic bands. Do you know how I go about getting them activated before checkin?

As far as I can tell, your MagicBands are "Active" when they are mailed to you. To start using your entitlements, just go up to the park you want to go to and scan your band. You won't be able to charge to it or anything, but you should get admission.

We've picked up our tickets early before on packages and we'll be using a Disneyquest admission the night before we check in to our package next week when we head down. :thumbsup2

Great! Thank you SO much! My family is going to flip when they find out (and I can feel better about getting the WPF&M add-on cost!). :cool1:

Standard procedure has been to go to a theme park and, at a ticket booth, show copies of your room reservation papers and ask for "early ticket pickup."

You do not have to go into the theme park and consume a theme park day at that moment. Do not try to test the magic band at the nearest turnstile of a park you are not planning to go into.

The procedure may have been expanded to allow doing it at resorts and water parks but I am not sure of that.

So, hopefully I can go to a ticket booth at DTD instead of the theme park. I'll try my luck, see what happens, and report back. :)

We'll be down there in exactly one week. I'll try just walking up to DisneyQuest and using my band without going to guest services and report back. As far as I can tell from previous reports, I should be able to get in without any problem.

I've done the guest relations check-in before as well, but this will be the first trip with the magicbands.
