Wp decoration opinions needed

twojo21 - i didnt even think about white wooden chairs! do you have any pics of those? or any price details?

We used the Disney Florist for our WP decor and it came in under $300.

We had candles on the altar, a memorial candle arrangement on a pillar, aisle pillars with candles on top and petals down the aisle.

When they say "petal aisle" is $200, they mean to line petals up on the side. I originally wanted this, but I got higher prices from all the outside vendors- it's not cheap. We opted for rose petals scattered along the aisle. When the wedding day showed up, I didn't notice any of it. I am glad we hired a photographer so I actually got to see what I did LOL!

Honestly, for the price we paid Disney, we get a lot more than we had asked for. I couldn't be happier.

laurafoster, i dont have a picture here but i could email it to you tonight at home. as for the white wooden chairs those are an extra cost, we cant stand those plastic garden chairs so we definetly wanted an upgrade. disney wanted $600 for 60 chairs, i went with kirby rental for $290 with set up.

Britanny...what did Disney charge you for scattered flower petals? if you don't mind me asking?

They charged us under $50- I don't remember exactly but I just wasn't willing to spend the money for the petal aisle. Even the well-known less expensive vendors couldn't really beat Disney. The roses and labor is just going for that price )O:

Hello ladies:
I did an alter arrangement for my intimate wedding last week. It was red and white roses. They only charged me $175 for it. It was gorgeous and stayed beautiful the entire week at the hotel. It lasted longer than my bouquet. The wedding pavilion did have some floral urns by the doors which were also beautiful. They are always there. I do think the alter arrangement added some beauty to the pictures and video. You don't want to stress yourself out by worrying about spreading flowers on the floor. Trust me.....you won't even get the time to look at them and who takes pictures of the floor anyway?? Too much hassle. Let Disney do the worrying.
Thanks and happy new year all.

I have to agree w/ Gabrielle! i have not yet had my wedding but I have seen pics of many and the petals are just not NEEDED The focal point is the couple, the castle and the "altar" area I would not go through the stress of DYI for this! I would a. put the $$$in the altar arrangement or B. do what brittany did which looks beautiful(the scattered roses). You do not need thousands of petals -a nice amount sprinkled down the runner is IMO very nice. The wp is so beautiful on its own you really don't HAVE to throw so much $$$$ into it. Of course this is just my opinion.
