I know the price range but I'm wondering.. Is it worth it will your guests even see the experience?

It's a must do on our list but now thinking about it, we have decided 95% chance the ceremony will be in WP but never thought about the fact that because it's inside no one would even see the carriage or entrance... Wondering from anyone with info on this or has done this scenario how it works? I've seen a few videos where the guests are lined up at the end of the WP bridge and the coach is next to them and the bride and groom walk out to it last.. Usually the bride and groom leave first so I'm confused... Just curious from some insight.

I know many WP brides use it esp at grand Floridian but I'm just curious if it's even seen by their guests or just mostly for pictures in a sense.

A side note/question that doesn't totally go with this thread but I figured stick it in here...We will be most likely staying at GF also the week of our wedding (close access to WP and we've always wanted to), do brides usually just get ready in their hotel rooms? Or does each package offer something for this?

So the way it works at the Wedding Pavilion is, the coach picks up you and the flower girl/your mom/bridesmaids/whoever at the side entrance to the Grand Floridian next to the pool. It takes you the short distance to the WP and drops you off, and, yes, nobody sees you but a million little girls with stars in their eyes at and around the pool. BUT, after the ceremony and your staged petal toss at the Wedding Pavilion, you and your spouse get in the carriage, and it makes a loop around the drive for your guests' benefit, with lots of photos. Then they go off to the pre-reception and you take a TON more photos in and around the carriage while it's stationary. Then takes you over to the reception, if it's at the convention center or the Marina. If it's at another resort, they drop you off at the GF and you get real transportation to the reception.

For some people, the brief 10 minutes of butt-time in the carriage could never be worth almost $3,000. But for others, the amount of time doesn't matter. It's the thrill of a dream come true for them!

Here's a series of photos from a bride I interviewed on the podcast that illustrate the experience...

No getting-ready room is included with any type of Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding, so most brides get ready in their rooms. You can also reserve a ballroom to get ready in, but there's a $500 food and beverage minimum.

How I would love to be able to afford the carriage. That's so magical looking.

I suppose that would be the advantage to SBP or any of the outdoor ceremony venues - your guests would see your entrance on the carriage (@Seia had hers at SBP and got lovely photos from it!) I have also seen the carriage used in Canada for Epcot weddings, so that's also a possibility. But then again, that means no WP, so it all comes down to which is a greater priority for you.

Wow you always deliver! This is great great great info! More than I could've hoped for! Thank you so much, the carriage is a big must do for us, it's one of the things that made us want the Disney wedding, I just would like everyone to see the experience also but it sounds like they would at exit ceremony even if they don't see for the entrance :)

Our main reasoning is the pictures. They are just magical!!

Side question- Do some brides use it at the Magic kingdom shoot too? Or is that not allowed. I could've sworn I've seen photos

The only MK photos I've seen with the coach are those of brides who have been married inside the MK and added the coach.

Oh that makes sense actually, that must've been the pictures I've seen, from a ceremony in mk. Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification :)

I didn't even realize that wasn't something included in Florida (since some of the crossover items/options between Disneyland and Disney World generally cost more at Disneyland like the projection cake). Disneyland brides actually do have the option of a getting ready room with no food and beverage requirement. Grooms too if there is availability. Now it makes sense why I read so many brides with larger bridal parties getting ready in rooms for WDW weddings. I was always wondering that ha. I just assumed that the getting ready rooms were either ugly or not available for early morning which is why brides didn't use them at WDW.

It's not just the little girls around the pool who see you; those of us on the monorail passing overhead will see you, too! It was amazing and beautiful, and I'm surprised the cars didn't list to one side, so many people were gathered around the windows to see "Bride Cinderella in her Magical Coach!" (as one little girl exclaimed!).

Have a magical wedding!!
