WOW! We REALLY got our luggage tags

I opened the mailbox yesterday and it was simply overflowing with magic! We received not 1 , not 2 , but three large beautiful packages from Disney! All of the possibilities swam through my head- surely I have won some fabulous prize for them to send me three packages!

In a way I guess I did- in each envelope was 6 luggage tags , making a total of 18 (for those of your who struggle with math)!

All I can figure is that the first envelope had been packaged already to be mailed when we called to add and extra night. So then they had to package up another confirmation and hotel voucher and threw in more luggage tags. Why we got the third one is beyond me.

I did call to confirm everything so there shouldn't be any mix ups at check in.

I just hope we won't actually end up needing all 18 tags for 18 bags!

They are probably the most beautiful things I have ever seen!(All 18 of them)

They are "holigraphic"( I guess that is the right word).

The picture changes three times--

1- the regular , beautiful castle with Tink flying around the turrets.

2-the same as above except with fireworks

3-the castle decorated as it is now for the celebration with the words "Happiest Celebration On Earth"

The tags we got this year have a picture of Cindy's castle, but it is "holographic" ( ?) If you tilt it back and forth it shows the castle regular and how is decorated to celebrate DL's 50th. It also shows fireworks exploding. My daughter and i discovered this while in the dentist's waitting room. No one else in the family realised they did that so we had a great surprise when we went home ! Last years was Tinkerbelle. Using extra tags for souvenier bags is a great idea!!!

Does it say the name of your resort on there? If so, how big is it? I'm surprising my DH. He thinks we're staying at POR but we're really staying at WL. I don't want to spoil the surprise before we get there. Any info on where it says or IF it says the resort name would be great!

We aren't using ME at all! We are driving down. They have sent them to us every year we drove so you should get some too.

I does not have any pre-printed info on it. The front has the hologram and there is a card enclosed to print your name, address and phone number and slide it into the clear plastic on the back.

No they don't say the name of the hotel you are staying. In the back is a sleeve where the name tag goes (name, address, and phone number) no place to even put what resort you are staying at.

Well we rented points for the hotel and we are only using ME for the trip back to OIA. I am not very hopeful! I have NEVER received the tags anytime I have made ressies of any kind. I am going to throw myself a Disney pity party. I never get anything!

these are just ID tags, not the ME tags. and I got mine last week and just got 2, it was just me and my daughter but my hubby decided to go but i havent added him to the ressie yet BUT only 2 tags??

The tags are really nice- I have one hanging near my computer!

I'm pretty sure you get the tags only if you got a package (room & tickets). Room only ressies don't get them.

I got something different. It was a booklet with all my flight info in it. It also had paper tags that look just like the airport tags they put on luggage when you check in. They are bar coded and do have the name of the hotel we are going to.

YOU HAVE MY TAGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am down to 15 days and I still don't have my tags. I'm giving it till around 10 this morning and I will be making a phone call to locate them. It's not fair that everyone else is getting them and not me. I want some magic too.

I think you are talking about the Magical Express tags.

Does anyone know if you book through a TA do you still get tags? We used DU and I am not sure if I should even get my hopes up for these.

I'd call ASAP, because with the luggage tags came the voucher I have to give upon checking in. I have added a day so I'm waiting for my new voucher. I just added it last week do I'm giving it til Monday. Though I live in FL and the mail shouldn't take that long as long as this Tropical Depression doesn't build to bigger than a Tropical Storm. I lost mail last year thanks to the many hurricanes.

I booked my package 6/28 and received the tags and vouchers 3 weeks ago after I made the final payment on the package (45 days out).If you are traveling in 15 days (17 for us) seems you should have received it by now. I'd call. Worst comes to worst you'll have 2 sets of vouchers and tags.

I haven't gotten mine either, and we leave in a little over 2 weeks. Do you have to book with Disney Travel to get them? We booked with Travel Impressions...

Well I just got off the phone with CAA and they called Disney to find out where my tags are....well low and behold my tags were sent out to the CAA office on July 27th. Well CAA says they don't have them so Disney told them to wait til Monday and if I still don't have them; Dsiney will have to put a rush "express-post" mail order on them for me.
As you can see I'm NOT a happy camper right now. 15 days before I leave and I have NOTHING.
I know; I know....breathe. ...... Okay I took a breath and I still don't feel better!

I hope this isn't a sign of my trip going bad. I have been having some horrible dreams about my trip lately.
