Just got back from a trip 12/15-12/20 staying at the BWV. I have to say I really liked the BW! I've only stayed at BCV and AKV and really was impressed with the BW. Loved having a Boardwalk view. We were on the 2nd floor and heard no noise - and I am a VERY light sleeper.
One day we went over to the Wilderness Lodge to see the tree and I was just blown away by this resort!
We happened to ride the boat with other DVC members that were HUGE VWL fans. So they told us so much about the resort, where things were, and food suggestions. The lobby in the lodge is truly amazing and the decorations made it even more beautiful. We took a walk over to the villas and I honestly felt right at home - even though I wasn't staying there. The lobby in the villas was gorgeous and the theming just blew me away! Loved the fireplaces and the inviting feeling. We went down one of the halls and were peeking in a room that had the door open. The people let us in to see the room, lol! It was a 1 BR and was so nice. This is definitely a place I'd like to stay on my next visit.
We had yummy salads and that big mystery cookie bar thing at Roaring Forks and looked around the pool area. What a great way to spend the afternoon! I can see why this resort has so many fans. I can't wait to stay there!!
