Wow I can't believe this, in fact I almost feel bad!
I had posted last week how bummed I was that We had family who got upgraded from a value to SS studios, for the same dates we were all going to be there. We were in POFQ originally. Well I wrote a letter to Disney, a very very nice letter, just explaining that I was bummed about it. I didn't ask for an upgrade, I didn't get mad, just said it was frustrating to hear about other members of our family who were travelling at the same time getting an upgrade! I also said though, that I understood it was kind of a lottery system and I was excited for our family who got the upgrade.
Well today, I can't believe this, but a great CM from guest relations called and told me she totally empahtized and understood how unfair it all seems sometimes. She was really nice, and took the time to just listen and talk with me for about five mins. I was very impressed.
THEN
About an hour later she called me back......and said she was authorized to offer me a FREE upgrade to Saratoga Springs into a 1 bedroom Villa! She said they thought it would be nice for the whole family to be at one resort. I was shocked!! I totally didn't expect this. Yay now we all get to be together!!! We would have done it this way to begin with, but POP just seemed to small for my husband and I plus three kids so we felt like we had to get a mod. Our other family couldn't afford the mod so they stayed with pop....I just cannot believe that they did this for us. It will truly be a special family vacation now.....all of us together! So excited! There have been lots of threads about poor customer service on here lately, but Disney STILL has some of the best people around!!
She even made our ressie into a grand gathering, which we hadn't done before. (we are disney newbies)...
I guess when you least expect it Disney sometimes showers you with magic!
