I cancelled two nights (11/29 & 11/30) in a Boardwalk View studio this morning around 7:30 AM Eastern. (Just nailed down my flights so didn't need those nights anymore).
I checked availability about 5 minutes after I cancelled and saw that the night of 11/29 was already gone. Just checked now and 11/30 is also gone.
I don't think the waitlist got either one of those nights, so I guess frequent checking does work.
Hope whoever got those nights now has a complete trip.
