It was 7 month window for the start of our on property stay, and we decided we'd roll the dice and attempt the Poly Studio trick. Got 2 nights (11/8-11/10) in a standard studio at exactly 8am. Was booked and confirmed by 8:02 on my computer clock. Yay for high-speed internet!

Now I get tomorrow off before attempting a 1 bedroom and studio somewhere on Friday morning and then booking the main portion (10 nights) at AKL on Saturday.

Those parts aren't quite as worrisome, though. We've never really had trouble getting the Kidani 2bd, and we'll take any of the 1bds that sleep 5...or, in a pinch, we'll do a studio or just start the Kidani reservation a day earlier. The kids just want me to make an attempt at Grand Floridian or Bay Lake since we haven't hit either of those yet.

congrats OP! We passed on it for upcoming trip, was shocked to see it was still available for weeks after the 7 month window during such a busy time period for our dates.

I guess it's not really a trick. Just being up, logged in, information filled out and ready to whack the button at EXACTLY 8am on the atomic clock.

If there's any trick to be had, I guess I can suggest that you fill out the reservation online for 1 person (we have 5 in the studio-3 kids), preferably the adult contract holder since their information is stored in the system. Then you're not filling out names and birthdays for everyone while someone else is snapping up the room. Call MS and add the additional people AFTER you've gotten your confirmation number.

HAHA! So true, get to the confirmed booking page as fast as you can. I actually lost a room last month after I filled in our whole party's info. Now I do exactly what you said, and call MS later.
