Wow! Storm on Friday

Yes it's been hour after hour of rain up here in NoCal. Started in my area about 6am and it is almost 4:30pm now with no let up whatsoever. Only modulation all day has been between raining really hard or just raining hard. If it stays anywhere near this strong when it hits Anaheim tomorrow there will be lots of standing water on Main Street (which seems to have especially poor drainage).

We are planning to go Monday thru Friday. Dec 15-19. But , we might be cancelling due to the rain. We were at Disneyland back in 2010, with the bad storm and rained every day for 5 days!!! We are going to wait, until Saturday,if the weather is bad, we are going to cancel.

We are from Roseville and left yesterday morning. Parks are crowded btw! We are toughin' the rain tomorrow in hopes of empty parks haha

I live in Las Vegas and if you want to talk about a place that's not equipped for rain, THIS IS IT. We have flood channels built all over the city and if it rains consistently for more than 20 minutes, say hello to rivers instead of streets!

We're heading out tomorrow, but not doing a park day until Saturday, which is supposed to be sunny and rain-free, luckily. After getting DUMPED on in February, it'll be nice to stay dry in the park on Saturday!

I'm in Disneyland now, and just got back from a morning in the parks. We did EMH at DCA, and ironically RSR seemed to be on of the most reliable. It went down a couple of times for fifteenish minutes, but otherwise as far as I know pretty much ran through the rain. Toy story was down at the beginning from a backed up drain, and Ariel was down due to a leaking roof, but both were up by 9:30 I believe. We only really did adventureland in DL, but everything that we saw was running there. The crowds were much lower in the morning, we walked onto pretty much everything, but wee picking up when we left with the sun coming out.

We have reservations for BB with fantasmic seating tonight, so we have our fingers crossed! I hope everyone else in the area is warm and dry!

I don't want to jinx it, but the sun came out here in L.A. about an hour ago and seems to be holding! Fingers crossed that you get to see Fantasmic!

Where I am, it's half-sun and half-ominous gray skies. The sky was blue for a second and then the clouds started rolling in again.

I ended up cancelling my Blue Bayou Friday reservation :(. I booked Riverbelle Terrace on Saturday for the Fantasmic! dining fastpass. I'm bummed. I really wanted to try Blue Bayou.

We cancelled too, but already had a backup for Sunday at BB! Got gold (best) section fp for first show at 945am, so we may go see it then. Everything was walk on all morning!

that is so odd how different our experience has been today! we have been here in DCA since about 730. yet every time we checked on Radiator Springs racers it was closed. we even ate breakfast at Flo's overlooking the ride and it wasn't open the entire time. thankfully we were able to get fast passes and are waiting in line now. we also have a second set of fast passes to use early this evening.

Thanks Wendy! We had a great ride and are looking forward to another just after Sunday. The weather is clear right now so we are trying to make up for lost time now in case it starts raining again.

Oh no, that sucks! Hopefully you guys got to ride! It's looking promising for fantasmic tonight, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this works out!

we just finally finished riding our second time by fast pass. the weather sure got better, didnt it? we are in line now to ride Toy Story for the 3rd time today then will call it a night.

not a bad day after such a questionable start.

have an awesome time at fantasmic! I cant wait to hear all the details of the new system.

So in the case of the cm saying gold is the best section, uh no, blue is. Blue sits right in front. Gold is standing in the section up behind the light tower...It was a mess tonight with the cms trying to prevent a line up prior to 745! And then a mob going in.

We also did early entry DCA this morning and rode RSR in pouring rain. Experienced RSR down for 10/15 minutes 3 times while waiting and were given anytime FPs for later in the day. Also rode GRR twice around in rain. Got soaked and just changed clothes and regrouped afterwards. Morning rain kept crowds light throughout entire day.

Nice! I'm glad it worked out for you :) It got much nicer as the day went on, but to tell the truth, I wasn't minding walking onto rides all morning, lol! Fantasmic! was a bit confusing, but good as always! I'm glad we did it!

It was definitely a nice break to have lower crowds! And it was actually kind of fun riding RSR in the rain I thought!
