I am amazed. We just booked a trip for the last week of jUne into July. So far, i have been able to get all of our times and locations without an issue. It's so crazy! Anyone else noticing this?

I'm the first week of June and have had no problems other than Chef Mickeys. I've even been able to modify my ADRs on a few spots too.

does free dining end on June 1st? could that be it?

Same with 8/9-8/17 & I have been able to change my ressies several times w/o a problem. I hope there are no crowds when we go!

Not to burst anybody's bubble , BUT , back when our ADR window opened, (for earlymay trip), there was TONS of availability, even through January...Well, two weeks ago I tried to change a few things around, and started searching, and well, that was no longer the case....remember, outside of the dis, there are a LOT of last minute planners.

:wizard: Here's to low crowds when we all go.! :dance3:

You have to check in by June 2nd for free dining...and that is what we are doing....so you could actually have free diners for up to a couple of weeks past June 2nd.

maybe that is one of the reasons they are offering so many free dining pins for the summer?? we got one via postcard in the mail! we can't use it though as we have a trip planned for october!

oh gotcha.

Still then, it boggles the mind why people with free dining would't be scoffing up ADRs pronto. They'll all be the ones who come home and say "uggh, what a waste of Money that Disney is!they "give" you free dining and you can't eat anywhere"

:rotfl:

We're there the first 3 weeks in May and I had to make several changes this week, to my surprise there was tons of reservations and didn't have any problems.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :rotfl2:

We will be there 7/2-7/8 and I can't figure out if we should be in Epcot or stay out of the parks on the 4th.

It's a good thing there are still *many* openings because I've changed my mind a million times.

Hopefully by the time they fill up, I will have made up my mind.

By the way- any opinions on where we should be on the 4th? I currently have a 6pm Marakesh.

This trip, which will start Tuesday, we decided to go around 2/27. I got every ADR I wanted, including Chef Mickey's and Le Cellier. Sure you have to be more flexible than if you were booking 6 months early but you can still manage to score some good reservations even a week or two beforehand. Lots of people cancel as it gets closer to their trip and they can't make it for one reason or another.
Our last trip was during free dining, I had 3 weeks to plan it and still got everything we needed.

we are planning a Hollywood studios day.

I booked our ADRs at the 6 month mark and had no problems. With two months to go, I am now going over things and changing a few times and there are still good times available. And we are a group of 8!

I am relieved to hear the posts on lots of availability, my ADR window opens march 25th.

Good news I say!

My friend's son is going next week.. :scared1: All parks all 10's it seems like, and his girlfriend texted me YESTERDAY asking about a buffet restaurant a friend says she should go to with characters.. on Monday!

I didn't even bother to tell her about online reservations.. gave the number to Disney Dining instead so they can suggest things that might be open.. :sad2:

Some of the free diners, such as our group are in moderates and values and get the QSDP so we are making many reservations. We will just be eating at the CS restaurants mostly.

Not to burst your bubble, but until about 2 months before my March trip, I had little issues messing with ADRs. Heck, I added a Crystal Palace dinner at an excellent time within 30 days of my trip. It was very crowded when we were there though. Crowd levels were at 8s and 9s for several days.

Most people don't really book ADRs (except for select places like CRT) until 60-90 days before their trips. Back in January, I was talking to two other Moms at a party. Both were going to WDW in late March and neither one had booked ADRs yet. They were talking about what they were thinking of booking.

I'm going the 1st wk of May and I'm still changing my adrs and there are lots of places to choose from. Which to me still seems strange. Maybe disney is putting alot more time/dates out there. You know like double booking n case some people don't show up. :confused3
