Wow- Oct. seems busy anyone else going

Hey all. Just tried booking AKL, BCV, and WLV for Thanksgiving and both are booked solid.

Had to take Saratoga Springs and go on a wait list for WLV:

Anyone else heading down then?

I had better be on the ball for ADR's.

I know in previous years there has been the PGA Funai Classic held at Disney in early/mid October plus the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP are very popular. A lot of people who go to Disney also go to Universal for HHN in October and I believe the 2nd Monday in October is the Columbus Day holiday in the US.

October used to be a more quiet time at WDW, however we've found that the crowd levels have been steadily increasing each year since we've been going (every October since 2003) and it seems to be only getting busier and busier.

In spite of the increased crowds, we are still planning on heading down Oct 7 to 20th

We are going from Oct 22-Nov 2! Looking forward to it, but there does seem to be quite a bit more people than I expected to be going...oh well we will have a blast anyways, and it cannot be as busy as Christmas time...lol

We went down Oct 3 -13, 2007. This was over our Thanksgiving and also Columbus Day weekend. We we told by some other people in the park, that some of the Southern States now have a fall break during this time. I couldn't believe the number of people for October. The crowds did not effect our trip and we would go again in October.

we are going on a 7 day Disney Cruise departing Oct 18th.

We tried to find a studio for Thanksgiving weekend but there was only space at SSR and OKW. We didn't want to stay at either of those so we decided to go the weekend before, 10/2 to 10/7, and are staying at VWL.
