We don't have a FedX pickup in the area or i would've dropped it off. USGB gave the number to call for a pickup. I called early yesterday for a pickup but had to cancel it as an emergency came up. So they rescheduled for today. My pickup order number is 2 so you'd think I be near the top of the list as far as pickup's go. I'm needing to run to the hospital to see grandma and doctor in an hour. I really don't want to postpone again especially since the gold price is on the upswing.

USGB: Has anyone had luck with them paying you for bigger diamonds than chips? I have a ring that had 5 diamonds in it and i don't really want to take it apart. Did you just tell them in the chat, or beforehand that you wanted to be paid for the diamonds as well??? I will be calling them on monday, thanks for the advice everyone.

I just did a chat with usgb and they said that they will evaluate all items in the gold and give you a quote for the diamonds as well, just to send in the whole thing.

I sent my stuff via fedex on friday and they called me today with my total. I am getting back $155. I sent in three small rings with diamond chips, 1 class ring, 1 necklace and 1 bracelet. I never wore any of it so I'll take the $155.

As of right now, it's going for approx. $900 an ounce. When I sold my gold a few weeks ago, it was up around $990.

Still, $900/oz. is nothing to sneeze at.

Well they just called and I didn't really have much - two thin rings, gold beads, and 3 thin chains. The rest wasn't gold. i wasn't sure but they were gifts from old boyfriends back when I was in high school - cheapskates Oh well, I'm getting a check for $81.50 which is better than nothing. These items were just sitting in a drawer collecting dust. Now I have so extra spending money and a cleaned out jewelry box. Works for me. So thanks OP.

My wife went to a gold party hosted by a jewler at her home. We got $350 for stuff that hasn't seen the light of days in many years. I really didn't think I'd get a dime over $200 and was mildly suprized when she walked back in the house with cash in hand.

Thank you to everyone for this thread!!! I sent off my gold yesterday and just got the call....I made $475.21!!! I really didn't have that much, 15 pieces total but nothing expensive. Here is what I sent....

1 Class ring
3 pair of small gold earrings
3 thin bracelets
1 thin necklace with gold beads
1 broken necklace (thin chain with 3 pearls)
1 tiny heart charm
1 medium size gold necklace
4 rings with stones (blue topaz, emeralds and diamonds;more like chips, amethyst)

I promise my stones were small. I am sooo excited!!!!

Im going to a jewerly party tomorrow and hoping to net $500. I weighed everything and per the current value- so .04kg= 1.60753 troy oz. the current value is $934 per troy oz. So Im looking at around $1400 is that correct? Im going to see what the offer me and if its not near what I want I will try US Gold buyers. My friend is having the party said she received a check for $2900 and its a cop/rn coming to the house. Im keeping my fingers crossed. all mine is 14k with a few stones.
