It's located in Acadia Estates.It's a gorgeous 6 Bedroom/4 1/2 Baths!! Over 3000 square feet and has everything imaginable!

Hi C Ann, There are only 6 of us going! And there will be at least three extra bedrooms we won't be using. We picked this house because we love the idea of a in home 'Theater' with a 110 inch screen,the steam room sounds wonderful and the 'Cyber Cafe' is also a great idea! Wow,talk about things you don't normally find in a home!
We saw this house and knew we had to have it! We don't normally spend this much on a vacation home but we are going down for our nephews graduation
from technical school and we want to suprise him! He said he wanted a 'wide screen tv' so I guess his own home theater fits the bill.It's kind of our graduation gift to him....
Anyway I just wanted to share because we are so excited about this house and cannot wait to get there!

It IS expensive, but reasonable. There are 8 of us going--two families-- and I don't think $165 per night per family is not outrageous for us. We could easily spend that at a 3-4 star resort in one room for each family AND we won't have our own pool, bedrooms, bathrooms, jacuzzi, game room, big screen or movie theatre (our house has one too!). So I understand how you rationalized the cost. I have poured over thousands of villas and for some reason, this place just speaks to me . I'm still looking at homes and nothing is topping this choice I've made for my family. I know we can get many homes cheaper, but cheaper is not my priority for this trip. It's our first one and I want it to be "special".

When are you going? Please, please, please report back about your trip: location convenience, the house etc.

P.S. I almost picked your house before I chose the one we have booked .

Hi Clan,Wow,Your vacation home looks great! I think I looked at that house but I don't remember seeing the home theater....geesh...if I had seen it I probably would have booked it!
Your going to be staying in your home long before we stay in ours. My nephew does not graduate until April,2006.We wanted to get the house picked out and booked way ahead because April is such a popular month to book and lot's of homes are already taken for that time.
We also have two families going and it works out great that way. It doesn't seem as expensive.
Is this your first vacation home? Or your first trip to Orlando? We started booking vacation homes about 4 or 5 years ago.Usually we insisted on staying 'Onsite' but once we stayed in a vacation home we never went back to onsite. Too many obvious plusses with a home.More space,a huge pool/jacuzzi all to our selves,each of us has our own bedroom/bathroom,internet access,exc,exc....I could go on and on but you get the picture!
Now YOU have to give us a review when you get back and let us know how Acadia Estates is and how you like staying there...and of course how that gorgeous home your staying in was like!!

Oh yeah, you’re right. I wasn’t paying attention. I will be sure to write back about our trip. I’ve seen just a couple of people inquiring about All Star on the boards but I have yet to see a post about someone’s past experiences staying with them. I’m sure they’ll be a top-notch group. It was a smart idea to book early.

This is our first big vacation, since the kids are older now (7 & 11), our first trip to Orlando and our first vacation home rental. It will be me, my husband, my DS 7 & DD 11, our (husband’s) nephew, his wife their DS 9 & DD 17 (who just graduated from high school & off to college. You can sense now why we chose the home we chose—this vacation is going to be something special and we are all extremely excited. We’re a little different; where not going to Disney (except for a dinner at OHANA’S one night & to see Wishes) for our first trip. We’re doing Universal Studios, IOA & SeaWorld and just laying back and enjoying our pool, Jacuzzi, game room, big screen & theatre.


P.S. Let us know about Rick & Karen’s Villa. Looks like a perfect home to rent on a trip with just the 4 of us.

Very nice! Are you going to have any problems with your new employer taking time off for these two trips? I remember you had posted on another thread that you didn't know what their policy was on that.. Hopefully it turned out that the policy was better than you thought..

Hi C.Ann, My employer seems a little flexible and I don't think I'll have a problem getting some time off in September.I just have to ask as far in advance at possible. My vacation for April won't be a problem because I am eligible for 2 weeks vacation beginning January 1st! Which I am very happy about!
Well I certainly hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend!! Yeah.....
I like my job...but.....Yeah anyway!!
I am always so happy to have time off.......I think I would have made a better 'rich' person. You know the 'sail around the world in my Yacht' kind of person.

We used All Star Vacation homes the first time we rented a villa and all went fine, no problems. The office was easy to find and the staff very professional. My dd left something special behind and they mailed it back home to us, no charge. They were a day late turning on the pool heat and waived the charge for it.

We felt safer renting through an agency the first time.

Once we were down there and became familiar with the developments we rented the next time with vacation rental by owner (vrbo) which saved us about thirty percent on a very similar home with many more ammenities.

You will love having all that space.

Hi Jeanne! Thanks for your reply; it’s great to hear from someone who has had experience with renting with All Star. It helps ease my mind just that much more.

This is our first trip too and I’ll tell ya, I really stressed about this part of the decision-making, but I felt along the same lines as you did. I felt safer renting through a Management Co. for our first trip but will probably feel better about renting directly from an owner afterwards—unless this particular villa “speaks” to me louder after staying in it .

If you can remember, what home did you rent that had similar features as the one you chose with All Star. Of course I’m keeping a list for future trips. Thanks!
