Wow! I can't believe the Free Dining news, but I need help.

I have happily taken advantage of the Free Dining promotion twice (2005 & 2008) and have been crossing my fingers that next Fall 2011, they'd announce again and we could go to Disney.

I just came go Disboards to get back "in the loop" and was floored to see they already have dates announced for '11. What?! But, sadly it's not in November when we were needing to plan for. I have to ask the question that will be drive everyone crazy insane because I admit (it's a stupid question that nobody can possibly answer anyway)...."what are the chances they free dining will be extended to November of 2010".

Also I see the special is good for 4 nights...can we extend that if we want to?

And: if we do decide to book for a different (less ideal for us) month and then re-book for November IF it does get announced, will we lose a deposit of some kind? It's been a long time since I've looked at Disney stuff, so I need a huge refresher. Thanks for being patient!!

I think that the chances for november will depend on how bookings are going. If they are not meeting there projections then disney will roll out the big offers like free dinning. But prolly not for thanksgiving. If the economy is still bad or gets even worse you can bet that theyll continue to offer big discounts. Since free dinning seems to create alot of interest you might see it extended. You can get it for more than four nights but not for less than four. You will be able to modify your ressie and transfer the deposit to the new dates. You would not loose your deposit if you change your mind.

I am hoping for free dining next thanksgiving week too. but to get it you'll prolly have to plan for a few days before that week. Like we are planning on thrusday the 17th through the 25th (black friday) If it happens like it did this year, then we'll be able to get it. Just keep your eyes open!!! I wish us both luck!!
