WOW.. i cant believe it

I cannot believe this..a "certain vmker" from the Disboards harrases me because i once thought that the pink slipper chair was beta... he will not drop the subject because it once was beta. Also today i just had gotten Dancing inferno magic and some other guy in the room was trying to cheat me out by saying someday stitch will be more rare than inferno... he already had inferno and was looking to trade a stitch hat for mine. so then "insert Dis members name here" said oh yea this is Arfy the girl who thinks pink slipper chair is beta... and then said someday the stitch hat will be retired.. i was just like "yea it will be but isn't now" i have also had many encounters with him and cannot believe that he is a part of the disscution boards. i need advice in what to do and i do consider it harrasment when he makes other people not trade with me because i once thought the pink slipper was beta... please post to help me out... if you want to know who it is feel free to pm me.. Also Dis Mods i would like your advice as well

I have also heard a rumor that inferno is coming back to staff games.. is this true?? Host_Hula said it wasn't a couple days ago

If they're following you around to harass you, you can report them. If you just happen to run into them from time to time and they make snide comments... you'd probably be better off ignoring and avoiding them.

As far as inferno, yavn has said that it will be back eventually but in an effort to make it more rare, it won't be for awhile. We have no idea how long that will be though.

I'm sorry they're giving you trouble. I would report them and if the problem isn't taken care of, just click the IGNORE button. Then you won't have to hear from them ever again. As for them ruining your trades, I found most people don't give a hoot anyhow. If you have the item they want to trade for, they're just going to trade you. Don't let them ruin your fun. Just smile and go about your business and they'll eventually get bored and find someone else to bother.

The ignore button, it works on the DIS and VMK. If you ever don't want to hear someone's thoughts, they are harassing you or you just don't like them, put them on ignore.

If they truly are harrassing you here, then report them to the moderators. Steps can be taken to keep you safe. If they are bothering you in VMK, use ignore like the others said, and just avoid them.

Pink Slipper was beta. Then, during the villain month, it was a prize in one of the host quests. Still keeps it fairly rare though not as rare as it was.

Your right about the stitch hat retiring soon so if you have a stitch hat I would save it but once again inferno will always be more rare arfy so no need to worry there

I don't have a stitch hat, and never wanted it. It's the ONE item in VMK that I have no problems with being so hard to get IRL. To this day, it will continue to be the, "Dead Blue Possum" that everyone just must have on their head! I personally compare it to the fur fad, and furs are ugly too.

So with stitch being cancled out in the hat catagory of my warped world, I own every hat in VMK.

OT- I had heard that Inferno was going on a vacation for a while due to Yavn wanting to keep it rare. As far as the pink slippers I think it was a 1 day deal as a quest prize.

I can't help but wonder if you are being just a little bit paranoid. How is it trying to cheat you out by expressing an opinion about the future that could very well be correct? Stitch is not currently traded for as much as inferno, but so what? He may be right. Someday, Stitch might be much rarer than inferno.

I had someone in the Emporium trying to sweet talk me out of my Dancing
Inferno Magic by telling me the the Teleportation pin was "much cooler"
than Inferno.

I think what Arfy was trying to say is that people will try to convince you
that your stuff isn't worth as much as what THEY are trying to trade for it.
And that is shady, hmm, let me bold that to shady .

My next response (if I didn't leave the Emporium) would have been:
"If your teleportation pin is so great, then you'd want to keep it rather than
trade it for my rotten Inferno."

Why do people keep saying that inferno is "more rare" than the Stitch hat? That most certainly is NOT the case. It is more DESIRED, but not more rare. There are thousands of Infernos out there, several thousand of them. And before this halloween s rerelease of Bat, Bat was more RARE than inferno. But more people WANT inferno, so therefore the price went up. Perception is nine tenths of reality, so people think because they WANT it more, it is more rare. Well, in reality, there are probably 10 infernos in VMK for every stitch hat.

And.... I dont care if something was a one day quest rerelease, pink slipper, blue Leota table and anything else of that ilk are STILL BETA - just because the hosts gave them away for 3 hours one night, does not take away their beta status in my book. There are lots of beta things which are not as rare as, say, Yellow Ariel.

Inferno is not rare...just difficult to obtain because people truly believe inferno is the most rare item in vmk. Inferno was given out as a prize in several HOST events a few months ago and was given out as major event prizes...for events such as the Pin Trading Room event last year, the Slide Team Competition, the Everest Competition and the others that we all know about.

Some people have up to 8 infernos or more...I have seen it. People can continue to price inferno as high as they want...but that doesn't make it any more rare in vmk. VMK knows this and is trying to make it rarer. You see, many people have inferno...just many are not willing to give it up quite so easily thinking it is incredibly rare.

There are many more infernos in the game that some want to believe. I have seen crazy trading demands when it comes to inferno...lists that go on forever! Truth is, inferno ISN'T worth all that. In my mind, inferno is less rare than the Snowman magic pin. This snowman pin was released during one weekend whereas inferno has been released several times throughout the year.

There is a difference between "rare" and "wanted". But hey, if people are willing to pay all that for the magic pin, so be it lol.

The stitch is slowly becoming less rare. It was and is still is partially more rare than inferno...simply because it is newer than inferno. However, it is "easier" to obtain than inferno because it is still available. On the other hand, inferno may be easier (physically) to obtain over the Stitch hat because you don't have to pay real money in order to get it.

However, without proper statistics, my guesses as to which are more "rare" are only guesses.
