I had a hard time with the lovely post office this season. I shipped 10 items on 12/11 that took between 5 and 10 days to arrive PRIORITY MAIL.
I had tracking on all of them but I had one really ticked off customer who emailed me daily. After two emails to him explaining how I'm checking the process with the tracking number he writes me the nastiest email about NOT responding to him!
I emailed him copies of the emails I sent him but he still reports a claim on PayPal and give me my first negative email in years!!
Regardless, I stayed on the PO and he eventually got his item. I sent him and Paypal daily updates and PP closed the case after he received it.
The guy CLAIMED he'd retract the feedback but never did. I checked with eBay and sent a form asking for a retraction. The feedback went from:
Original Feedback rating (16-December-2009): Negative
Original comment: Seller does not respond to emails, No verification of item actually shipping!!!!
Revised Feedback rating (31-December-2009): Positive
Revised comment: Outstanding Service and Follow - UP Highly Recommended Seller



EBay's feedback system sucks eggs but at least I got some recourse in this case.
