I just got off the phone with Disney Dining ~ I booked brunch for us at Storytellers on our check out day. I figured I'd see if BB was available for either of our days (12/7 & 12/8) @ 11:30 ~ sure enough we could've gotten both days, so I went with the 7th!

You will love Storytellers! YUMMY!!

I was sooooooo full after eating there. We also did the brunch. I recommend it highly to everyone!

I also had an amazingly fast & pleasant PS experience today...I was expecting to be put on hold for a very long time (what with the holidays coming up), but my call was taken in under 5 minutes & we got a PS for Blue Bayou in a couple weeks. pirate:

HELP w/ PS!!!

I am within my 60 days (just barely), but haven't been able to make up my mind yet. Its an anniversary trip and my wife knows we are going, but everything else is a surprise. I am thinking one PS a day and then planning other meals around those. I think I know where I want to make them, but I am not sure on times. If anyone has advice or other recommendations...

This is my current plan: (I figure the early lunch seatings are the least crowded, but they might not be as romantic, etc...)

Saturday: Our flight arrives mid morning. I am thinking about Storytellers for brunch or dinner (we are staying at GCH which she doesn't know) I would like to use the meal to work in the surprise that we are staying there, but don't know about the logistics of parking (valet or self) and check in, to know how to incorporate the surprise into the meal there (forgetting the AP in the car and running back out for them so we can get the discount, when the real purpose of sneaking out during the meal is to move the car and check in, etc...)

Sunday: Blue Bayou for the ambiance. When is the best time to go on a Sunday (water side seating would be nice, but not a deal breaker). Going at the best time maximize our time in the parks since that is our only full day is the higher priority.

Monday: Cafe Orleans first seating for lunch (she loves Pommes Frites). We have to be back at the airport mid afternoon for our flight home so lunch is really the only option.

Should I swap any of the days to have a better experience (Mon is the actual date of our Anniversary)? I am even willing to do something different Saturday and not work a meal into the surprise...

You know --- I think that while folks are going to the parks, they aren't as willing to spend money at the higher priced restaurants. So if you are a big fan of BB, StoryTellers or Napa Rose -- now is probably the best time to go. We were able to get right in last week for a character breakfast @ Storytellers last week w/ no wait -- I was shocked! We also got right in at the downstairs winery restaurant @ DCA & DH got a PS for Cafe Orleans for dinner the day he decided we should eat there (his idea of advance planning :lmao:). So we ate at 3 table service restaurants w/ out any of my usual way in advance PSes and didn't wait at all. We didn't see any of the usual crowds @ BB, but we didn't feel like doing that this trip -- it just doesn't seem worth it for us. Oh we ate at the Big Thunder BBQ too -- so that makes it 4 table service meals in 6 days. In fairness, we made sure that we got our El Pollo Loco & In-N-Out fixes taken care of and we ate most of our breakfasts in our room.

Your comment is almost bringing a tear to my eye. Its a double edged sword of sorts. In-n-Out has always been a part of our trips that we looked forward to and planned for.

Thursday In-n-Out opened their first 2 Northern Utah locations. Both about 10 miles away. Two more are going to open the beginning of December (one will be less than 2 miles from our house).:banana::banana:

It looks like next weeks trip will be the last one where In-n-Out will be on the trip agenda and have that nostalgic feel too it... :sad1:,

I am definitely not complaining, but the thought never crossed my mind that if/when we got them in our area,it would effect our family traditions. LOL

(We also have Utah's first El Pollo Loco about a mile away)

ok my two cents--I would do BB for dinner at the first seating--by 5 p.m. or whatever you are going to want a break--and the parks will be busier than at lunchtime.
