Okay finally convinced DH to wear a tux and DS will also wear one. Oh how cute. Problem is I don't know where/how to get one. I know there is a link to some stores that provide for cruises. I also know there are ones out there that disers had problems with. HELP please before he changes his mind I need to take care of this. Thanks.

Karen

when you get your travel docs from disney there will be an insert-we have used this company twice. their prices are comparable to all of the others and their service is excellent. if you need help deciding on the size-go to a local tux shop, explain you are going on a cruise and they will do a comp. measuring for you.

We've used cruiseline formalware a couple of times with great success. You order and the tux is delivered right to your cabin.

Others have had success renting from places close to home, but then you have to pack it and carry it on yourself.

Still others have found that purchasing one is the best way to go if you plan on cruising more than once.

Good luck with whatever choice you make.

So are you planning on buying them? DH got his at syms. I'd suggest you try today's man or something similar. We got Daniel at suir from JCPenney's. It's really cute - no jacket but it has a clip on tie and vest. Wait till you see! Good luck and I can't wait to see your DH in a monkey suit! But don't tell him I said that, he may change his mind! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

personaly-beyond cruises, the only time i've seen my hubby in a tux was on our wedding day. i love men that are willing to go for it on a cruise and get dressed up-if nothing else it provides a great photo opportunity.

We were able to buy a new tux for the cost of a rental on the internet. DH has worn it three times now. He is more inclined to wear it because he has it!

I would suggest you do either one of two things...

1. Use the Cruise Line Formal Wear for the convenience of having it delivered to your cabin. That will make for one less thing to pack and they don't seem to be anymore expensive than renting elsewhere and having to pack it.

2. With a little bit of time and effort, you can use eBay purchase a tux and all the acutraments. If you go for a used tux, you'll spend about as much money as renting one time, but you'll own it.

If you do go the eBay way, here's some of the sellers whom I'm enjoyed doing business with: thetuxxman, mikedante, & cuteclothsforkids.

Cuteclothsforkids is great because they sell infant and child size tux for about $35 (they will be made from polyester compared to wool you normally get for rented, but they look just as great and you don't mind spending LESS to buy a polyester tux a child may only fit in once than to spend MORE to rent a wool tux they will for sure wear once.

We just ordered a tux for DH for less than the cost of 2 rentals on the ship. Try http://www.tuxedodirect.com/They are having a great sale right now $149 for a complete package jacket, pants, shirt, cummerbund, tie and cuff links.

I also bought my tux for the cruise from the internet at http://www.etuxedo.com. I paid $200 for a Big Man's After Six tux that included all the accessories.
