Just use common sense when reading through the TA reviews. Even the people who say this is my only negative review seem to have an ax to grind. It is a vent site, there vacation may have been horrible and it had nothing to do with the room, everything just bothered them at that point. Other people are just nuts. I don't know if I;m allowed to do this so sorry if I'm not but I just find this so out there and hilarious
TA review-
I had no kleenix in the room. Silly, right? At first, I thought that was normal. I figured it was some sort of "green" thing. So, we used toilet paper. The turn-down service was just that: They turned down the bed and left chocolates. They didn't straighten anything up. They didn't update the amenities. Nothing. Just turned down the bed, left chocolates and they left. The last night...they didn't even leave chocolates.
And, speaking of just leaving: The cleaning crew left everything. The towels where they were, the dirty plates. Everything. I don't know if it is a Disney thing but they didn't touch anything. Not even to clean it. After day two (2) I figured that if I put everything in a pile in the middle of the floor, the cleaning crew would take it.
And, the amenities. Let's talk about them. Oh wait. I can't. During my four-night stay, I got one set. This is when I arrived and that was it. By the last night, we were rationing soap. Thank goodness we travel with our own shampoo.
Now, before you start thinking that I was on the phone whining to the manager, think again. I never complained to the manager, not once during my stay.
Why?
Because, the Animal Kingdom Lodge knew that I was paying $435.00 a night for my room. And, they knew it was sub-standard when they put me in it. The only complaint I made was when I first checked in. I called and verified if this was really my room. I asked them to check. They said yes. I asked if my room had been inspected and they said yes. The woman said that they had "stringent" quality controls at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Okay. Then, I didn't have to call the manager to tell them it was sub-standard. They apparently already knew it since they had quality controls in place. And, since I was paying $435.00 a night for a room, I was pretty sure that my room was at the top of the list for quality control.
...All I can see is the pile of dirty plates and towels in the middle of the room for a couple days...why would you not call and complain???
