I must be the luckiest person alive! I waited and waited for a 40% off code for our last trip in October. I never did receive one. Then, two days ago a 40% off code came in the mail to my MIL. She lives with us and I had no problem making a booking with this code. :cool1:

Last night, my DH got a 40% off code in an email, and I got one in my email as well.

I wish I could share them with someone who could use them! But, good news is, we'll be at the Poly Nov. 29 - Dec. 5!!

Is the family member going with you that got the code originally? I thought everyone said that the person had to be on the ressy?

They let me make the reservation with the pin code with my MIL's name, even though she's not on the reservation. I think it's because we're all in the same "household". She lives with us.

I am keeping the other pin codes in my back pocket just in case Disney changes their mind or something. But it didn't even come up as a topic, I just gave the CM the pin code and my address.

They'll tell you that first the person has to go, then if you ask (or they volunteer) to check with guest services, they should give you the discount because the offer came to your household. I got a pin postcard in the mail to a coworker that went on a trip with me a few years ago who has never lived with me and I don't even keep up with him any more and they still let me use the code because it came to my address.

From my understanding from the CM's I have spoken with, the PIN code is supposed to be attached to a persons name, not address? Maybe you just got lucky?:confused3 I have been hearing numerous stories of people receiving PINS to their address and not being allowed to use them. If this isn't the case this certainly gives hope to a lot of folks! :thumbsup2

Lucky you. They would not let me use the one that came to my house in my deceased friends name that never even lived here but travelled to WDW with me once.I have tried 3 times now...I am really getting po'd I have never ever gotten a code and I finally get one and the woman not only does not live and never has, but she is deceased and has been for 6 yrs this fall.

I got the 40% off code in the mail on Monday - the same day I made an offer on DVC. I've never received a code before and now I won't be able to use it.

Did you order the DVD recently? Just wondering:)

I ordered it a few months ago. My DH never has ordered one though. Does anyone know if I can book another room with the code for my friends that may travel with us?

Mine came today, almost 1 week to the day (by email BTW) after I called Disney to check the rate for Pop in Feb. I told the CM I could get a better rate booking through expedia (which was true and I did and saved 50%). Makes you go hmmm though. And I specifically asked the CM to check if I had a Pin associated with my name and she said no.

I think Disney sent out a huge blast of the codes last night, because my husband got one in his email for us and I got one in my email for my parents who went with us last trip. They both came through at exactly the same time last night, down to the minute!:woohoo:

just an fyi...I received a PIN this week in the mail. I have recently ordered the planning DVD. However, I ordered the DVD under my married name in the past few months and my PIN came under my maiden name (been married 8 years) . so who knows? :confused3

Who knows how it works is right. I am happy with the deal I got on the 3/4 I saved a ton and after this next trip don't see us going back for a while anyway:)

Hope we all have great trips!!!!
