Wouldn't It Be Great to Have EMH for MNSSHP/MVMCP?

I got to reading some of the new threads associated with the start times for MNSSHP/MVMCP and thought -- wouldn't it be great if WDW resort guests had EMH for those events where they could enter the parks at a guaranteed time a few hours earlier than non-WDW resort guests. I know you can get in prior to 7pm...but there's always the angst of whether or not they will be doing it on the night your tickets are for.

I doubt Disney would do this as I know they rely on regular attendance from so many locals for these events, just thought it would be nice to have a sure thing, instead of a maybe. And, of course, this would really only be a benefit for people using MYW tickets as AP holders could enter the park anytime and trade their event ticket for a wristband inside.

The problem I see is the turnaround time to set up for either MNSSHP or MVMCP. They wouldn't want guests to see how the magic happens, which is why guests in the park are only permitted in certain areas.

I think the issue is "security".

Now that we all have to go through a bag search, Disney really can't afford to keep everyone (or even mostly everyone) out until party start time. If they did, some might not even get in until the party was half over. I think that's the real reason they started letting people in at 4.

I love the idea, but I don' think it's even feasible due to the "security".

Best wishes -

It would be interesting to see some stats on how many people get their wristbands at the turnstiles vs. inside the park as I'm sure a huge number of AP holders are probably already inside prior to the start of the event. If that's the case, I don't think security would be that big of a deal. Afterall, isn't that the same thing that happens when the parks open first thing in the morning? Also, the two years we have attended I don't recall having to stay in Tomorrowland...it was mainly the crowds that were entering @ 7pm that were kind of "herded" into that area as CM's were making sure non-tickets holders left the park.

Oh well, in the grand scheme of things this doesn't really matter a whole heck of a lot -- just thought it might be a nice perk for on-site guests.

They let you in at 4pm, that's early to me.
