Wouldn't it be cool if Disney were to open the parks up to photographers every morning at day break to go in and just take pictures. Charge, say, $25 or so for the 2-3 hours between sunrise and the park opening. Just something I thought of. I'd do it for sure!

Excellent idea. I would think it would have to be limited in terms of number of early entry passes, however, as a compelling reason to get in before the crowds would be to take our pix *without* the crowds! It would proably be very popular amongst non-photographers, too, just in order to be at the ropes at opening time. I booked a Crystal Palace breakfast last July for just that purpose. Pretty expensive ploy, but it worked!

it's the best time of day. when they open the park early for multi day pass holders, most people run to the e-ticket rides - leaving few people around so you can get nice shots without people.

time for photogs only would be awesome!!

I could see one month in spring and another in fall where you buy a special morning pass.

But then you think of security has to be there, first aid etc...

awesome idea, but it'll probably never happen, they do need some time without guests for groundskeeping and maintenance crews to do their work before they open the gates to the general public....

That is a great idea. I'd be up for that.

Next best idea is to go during the winter time (mid-late Dec to Mid Jan) when the sun rises later and book the earliest seating (usually 8am) for Crystal Palace or CRT. They start letting people in for that at 7:45. At least they did for our 8:05am ADR for Crystal Palace 2 weeks ago.

It was pretty cool. Though they are still people that get in your way, but not nearly as bad as during reg park hours. I got a few cool shots of Main St and a few of the Castle, but keep in mind that people are going directly to the Castle for breakfast and they also do have some tour groups that go in that early. When we went there was what looked like a high school group of about 25 that was being given a tour. We got in just before them, but they kept stopping everywhere for a small lecture type speach of what the area was.

It is nice to be one of the first few dozen people through the gates before they open.

...I have a picture of my wife that I took in May of 1997. We arrived for what was then known as EE, or Early Entry. We were among the first in the Magic Kingdom that morning, and we made a mad dash up Main Street. I have this incredible picture of her in front of the castle with NO ONE AROUND ANYWHERE. I mean, she's this little tiny blot in front of Cindy's castle and the place is DESERTED.

Priceless. :)
