My sister and I were talking on a run the other day about how cool it would be for Disney to offer a running concierge service of some sort... Or if not a concierge, just the opportunity to run through various parks not part of a specific Run Disney event. I totally get why this wouldn't happen, but it would be so cool to get to run around the World Showcase for our morning runs! We are staying at Boardwalk which thankfully has some good loops, but we are so close to an even more epic route!

Not really a question or anything, but figured that I sit here on this freezing cold day in Maine dreaming of our upcoming trip, anything seems possible!

Years ago we did are WS pre-opening Segway Tour ( no longer available). We were in WS before 11. There are crews working- cleaning, power washing etc. it would be disruptive and dangerous

I figured it would never, ever, happen, but boy oh boy would it be cool if it could! I can't imagine how people fit in all that they do in the already short windows between guests, it's amazing. Lot of hard workers keeping Disney afloat!

I just am dreaming of running the world - it would make those morning three miles fly by!

At Disneyland the onsite hotels have had a morning walk fwiw. (In california adventure, I believe)
See! That's awesome!

I know a lot of resorts (that are not also juggling a theme park aspect) are offering more active excursions. I am also, to be honest, fine with taking it easy on vacation and replacing a run with a cinnamon bun, but motivation would increase with cool sights or unique experiences.

We've run/walked early in the morning through Disney Springs back when it was just Downtown Disney.

Putting aside the crews working and the danger factor, I'd actually prefer that things stay the same! As cool as it would be to run through the parks each morning, that's why I keep coming back to do the runDisney events! Otherwise it might lose its luster and I'd be paying a few hundred bucks to do something I did for free yesterday. Now, let's talk about that running concierge idea. THAT would be a great idea. I love going to the expo, but sometimes things get jammed up when people who don't have their waivers stop to print them there. Same goes for late registration. I'd love the option to have a pop up kiosk at each resort to act as the check in area if you are staying on property. If there was a way for you to opt in prior to your trip, I think it would help cut down on traffic at expo. Plus, I know alot of people who can barely make it to expo because of its limited accessibility in terms of how long, and when they are open. I know someone who nearly missed the W&D Half because her flight on Saturday was delayed and she walked into expo 2 minutes before they closed. If she'd have been able to check in and collect her materials at her resort, this would solve that problem.

I would LOVE to do a RunDisney event (I've done a few marathons so that would be my dream! A marathon in DISNEY!) but as a teacher the marathon or half seems to be always the day right before the end of my breaks, never at the start! Which doesn't seem a huge issue, but makes it tricky to plan. I figure someday I'll bite the bullet and take the unpaid time the day after to truly enjoy basking in post-marathon Disney <3 We had the opportunity to do a 5k on our upcoming trip, but I think I waited too long to decide... Are the events worth the cost?? Hard to know until you do it, I guess...

I’ve done Wine and Dine twice and I can tell you it’s absolutely worth the money. The on course entertainment is fun and the race packets are nice. The medals are amazing and how awesome is it to run through those parks when it’s closed! The after party for Wine and Dine specifically is amazing. EPCOT is open after hours for the runners with all of the Food and Wine kiosks open. When else can you walk on to Soarin’ over and over again?

Definitely would be the one I'd want to do! Will work on squaring away some time so I can truly RunDisney one year!!!
