I would stay there again, we got such a sweet deal last time (was able to upgrade from Value to AKL for about $250) I'd have a hard time paying rack rates to stay there. I'd love to try the other deluxes first, particularly the Poly. We loved feeling like we had stepped into another world, the staff was excellent, the food great (we walked into dinner at Jiko), the atomsphere incredible!

We had an amazing stay there last month.....I would recommend it in a heartbeat!

I wondered if it would be worth the extra money over a mod, and it was worth every penny!!!!!!!

Waking up to my boys peering from the bunk beds out at the animals is something I will never forget!

Stayed there 3 times, would stay there every time if I could afford it. Always eat once at Boma's just so I can stop in.

Absolutely. I agree with another poster that I'd choose WL first but if it wasn't available, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here. The only difference is this time I'd book a Savannah View. Our trip to AKL was a gift from my Mom who didn't know the difference between booking Savannah or Standard. Not complaining about my free trip or anything just making an observation(now I'm covered if my Mom is reading this thread)

When we leave tomorrow (Yeah :cheer2:  :cheer2:  :cheer2: ) we will be staying at the AKL for the second time. There are other resorts I want to try out too, like BC/YC, GF, CBR, but this is my sister's first time and she loves animals. So AKL it is - well for half of the trip anyway. First four days we are staying at POFQ, also my sister's choice.

Absolutely! I have stayed there 3 times and look forward to returning. :)

AKL is the first Disney resort we've stayed at that we're considering for our next trip (July '06). I've narrowed it down to Dolphin, Carribean Beach, or AKL.

We loved the animals and we had a terrific balcony view, loved the mara (I think thats the name of the food court). But we didn't feel like there was enough places just to walk around. It is almost like you're in the cage and the animals are free. Did anyone else feel this way???

Stayed there in May04, I would definitely go back. AKL is my 2nd favorite resort behind WL and that's a very close behind.

Without hesitation! Even if we're not staying there we visit and eat at Boma.

My absolute favorite Disney resort! Love the animals, the decor, the atmosphere, the pool, the dining.

It is my favorite WDW resort to date! I love AKL! But, there are a few more resorts I want to try (GF, CSR, and BW) before staying at AKL again. I know I'll be back someday though.

I could live at AKL, that's for sure. Of course, if I did, I would have to vacation at POR or POFQ!

I've stayed there twice... once with my fiance and once before I met him. We both love it so much that it's our favorite Disney hotel... and that's saying a lot. :) Our third visit is coming up in November.

I've stayed there twice and really love the place. I loved watching the animals from my balcony, the pool, the gift shop was awesome, the food, everything was perfect. I'd go back in a heartbeat! :sunny:

I loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings...sipping coffee, reading the newspaper, talking to the animals...it was so peaceful! My Dteens made so much fun of me because every morning I would say good morning to the animals. They still laugh about it! And everytime they bring it up, I smile because it's one of those Dmemories we'll always have!
