Trying to figure out the future once again!!!

Question...

Would you skip WDW in 2013 to save points for a big trip to CA in 2014?

Would you be willing to skip the opening of new fantasyland to see carsland and buena vista street in california? :confused3

We actually had to cancel or scheduled trip to DLR for this summer due to financial reasons. :sad1: I cheered myself up a little by telling myself that waiting a bit for the hype to die down was not such a bad thing. :rotfl:

As it is, we will likely not get back to the Disney parks until December 2013 (last there December 2011). If you can stand it, doing Carsland in 2014 will allow the dust to settle a bit, so to speak. Waiting until, say, 2015 for WDW would do the same thing.

Of course, there was just a thread here about skipping a year, and the OP wasn't able to do it. :rolleyes1 I am not saying that I would be able to either, if my financial circumstances suddenly improved:laughing:

Nope. This is especially true, since DLR can be visited on a long weekend for reasonable points, the good neighbor hotels have some great rates, and/or Carsland is sure to be crazy stupid with locals for the next couple of years.

That said, we are on the West coast, and plan to travel to DLR for a long weekend every year (and WDW for a vacation every year).:thumbsup2

We live in California, so we have an advantage...but if you can come off season it would be very worth it. We went yearly when I was a child to DLR off season and loved it. It is really slow super bowl weekend, for example, and times when kids are in school such as early September. Weather here is fine then, and all the new areas will be wide open. I say, do it! :cheer2:

We skipped going in 2011 in order to go to Europe and do a DCL Med cruise...15 days total. That's an entirely different thing though IMO. I don't think I would skip WDW for just DL, I would try to plan a 2nd trip to DL. I would skip it for Aulani & DL though and we probably WILL have to skip it whenever we DO plan that trip.:rolleyes1

if i normally just went to the parks and on rides, i think i could skip a year....the problem we have is that we relax at WDW: sip coffee on our BWV as the sun rises, stroll over to EPCOT just for a grey goose slushie or DHS just to ride TSM, lay by the quiet pool witha cold margarita, read a book on the back balcony, laze on a bench listening to ragtime while people watching, play mini golf, etc:cloud9:

DH wants to do a 2-3 week international trip next year......i'm concerned that we will be stressed going an entire year without any idle, relaxing days at WDW :confused3
