Have vmk free and have all these ridiclous bans or pay for vmk and have no bans?

Personally, I like VMK just the way it is. Most of the bans are fair (there are some unfair ones, but they seem to be resolved most of the time) and most of the people who get them do deserve them if they are giving out personal info in VMK. VMK to me seems to be a promotional device for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and all the other Disney parks. I don't think they would make people pay to use a game that they could very well be using for marketing purposes.

Even if they did decide to make VMK a subscription service, I think they should keep the bans because people shouldn't give out personal information to others anyway. There is enough of that going around on Myspace, and it could be potentially harmful

Just my two cents... :thumbsup2

I agree with nrb, I really don't think they should make people pay for it anyway. They've got toontown, why make this game pay to play if it's obviously gotten more people to go to parks and pay for things.

Very well said! I totally agree!

What huge amount of ridiculous bans? I've seen some misinterpreted bans that have been fixed once.. or twice.
Eh.

No one look at my post count! 'Tis evil!

No. Your ban was fair. You should not talk about AIM on VMK.

And Boomer, I thought that you pronounced your name Mal-i-boomer.

If you know how to say Malibu (as in the place), it's just that with boomer on the end. ;). But since you can pronounce Malibu ma-lee-boo or ma-lie-boo, your way is also correct ;).
I think for saying AIM screen names you should be banned for ten centuries not ten years. How do I know you're not a child predator!

because a child cant be a child predator! :rotfl: and anyone and can see dis and my aim is on here! so... yeah!

Seeing a DIS or AIM name does not mean jack in the real world. It will get you very little, let alone get police where they need to go. Sure, it could help, but not all of the time.

I truly think that whether or not you pay for VMK, there should be rules and bans in place. These are the only things that keep the site in order.

i agree i'm just seeing what others think for we're paying so vmk should be less strict or same as it should be or what? just asking people opions

I honestly don't find VMK that strict.
I know what I can and cannot talk about.
It's not that hard to follow the rules.

I agree

I would pay if they truly investigated the claims instead of just banning a person, seems like alot of people are getting unfair 10 year bans and then getting them lifted. If Vmk is lifting all these 10 year bans, that says it right there that they are in the wrong. I agree that some bans are needed, but for people that are truly out there doing wrong like Scammers, they just changed their Ip address and sign up a new account and go right back out and do it again.
I'd pay for vmk if they took alot of annoying features away, especially the "Your typing to fast" Grrr!

I think the question has an incorrect assumption built into it. If we were to pay for VMK it would not mean that it would be ban free.

If you break the rules repeatedly, it is time to go - whether you are paying to participate or not.

I realize this may be an unpopular opinion, you asked.
