Would you take a double because of your friend's kid?

Alternatively, if you happen to bring a stroller and she suddenly wants one, just say, "Oh, ___ needs a stroller? Sure! I'll be happy to walk with you down to the rental desk. Let's go."

Well, I am of the mindset that if they can't walk and you can't carry them, then it's time to go back to the hotel.

I would like suggest like others to not bring one and make it fair, but it sounds like your kids are exhausted by the end of the day. So personally I would bring a single for just your kids who may need it. Should you bring a stroller for your friends children? DEFINITELY NOT!!!

Your friends by now should realize that they need to take responsibility for their own children knowing how tired they are at the end of a Disneyland day. You have your own children to look after and care for, and items such as day packs, strollers, jackets, snacks, etc to lug around for them. You should not be responsible each trip to pack for another family as well. Especially if they feel their kids are too old for a stroller.

So if I were in your position, trying not to step on anyone's toes to hurt feelings or be judgmental, I would say to my friends "Today I am packing lightly to make it easier on myself", but you can always ask them "Do you want my umbrella stroller?". If they don't want it and they see you have a single stroller and your own children are using it, and there is no room for their tired kids, you can always suggest a stroller rental.

If the parents don't believe in strollers then they can/should carry their kid when they get tired. Or rent one themselves at the park if their kid ends up getting tired.

Tell them before hand your only bringing a single stroller for your kids to share.

I would think your best bet it don't take yours, they won't have one, then no one will want what the other kid has!!

That is ridiculous. If her kid might need a stroller then she should bring one! ESP cuz she has a 4 year old!

If her friend wants to to deprive her small child a place to sit to rest, then she can carry her, or just deal with a very tired cranky child. thats sad though :(

It is unfortunate that some folks only think about themselves. About 10 years ago my sister and her 5 year old twins went with my cousin and her 3 and 1 year old to WDW. Well cousin's 3 year old would not stay in her stroller unless mysister's kids were in a stroller also and my sister wound up renting a double for her kids just so cousin's kid would stay in her stroller that was brought from home. So not only did my sister have to rent a double stroller that she didn't need but she had to push it as well. We knew better next time went somewhere with cousin and kids but it was really an eye opener. Hope you have a great trip, whatever you decide to do.

I would NOT want to go to Disneyland with a mom that thought it was totally reasonable for her 3 and 4 year old to not only walk all day, but carry backpacks with their own lunch and jacket.
