All this talk about the 7 for 5 deal has me thinking. We have reservations at the Swan for 7 nights and we are getting a 5 day park hopper plus pass.

If this deal comes through and they probably won't offer it at the Swan/Dolphin, we could theoretically stay at the Poly Garden View with Ultimate Parkhopper passes for the same as the above.

Question is...would you switch?

Let's say they do offer it for the Swan/Dolphin...would you switch even then?

I didn't think planning another trip would be so agonizing...ha!

If I had a choice, I would do the Polynesian. It's so close to the MK & TTC, the monorail is a great, and the view from the beach is amazing.

We were scheduled to stay seven nights at the Dolphin, but then we got the Disney Visa 7/4 deal and the cost to stay at the GF - Garden View with UPH was the same so we switched. As teachers, we can usually stay at the Dolphin so we thought it would be nice to stay on the monorail line and a property that we probably could never afford without this discount! My 3yoDS would be even closer to the MK which will make him happy although I like to be near the WS and BW in the evenings for my own happy hour! LOL!

I'd switch for sure. Do they even offer the 7/5's and package deals at the Swan/Dolphin? What's the history on that. I would do whatever it takes to save $$ and stay the longest amount of time possible.

Switch and stay at a monorail resort. Next time go back to the Swan/Dolphin.

The S&D were not included in the 7/4 last year and since we had already made arrangements, etc., we kept our reservations at the Dolphin. We still had an awesome vacation, but this year decided to take advantage of the Visa special as stated above.

I absolutely adore the Polynesian and think it is heads and shoulders above the S/D. It has great themeing, a better pool, and definetly a nicer view, IMO. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Thanks! I took it at CRT last December. He was dressed in his Mickey costume and the princesses were all over him. He is a Disney FREAK!!!

To keep this on topic, the S/D pool is awesome but I cannot compare it to the Poly because I've never stayed there. I stopped in the lobby once to get pressed penny and thought it seemed dated. We're going to try the restaurants there this summer. Go for a monorail resort if it works out to be the same costwise. Whatever you do, enjoy the MAGIC!
