Would you switch Kona or the Wave for Narcoossee's?

My family of five is headed back to WDW in August and are doing the deluxe plan again. My oldest two kids loved going to Citrico's last year and enjoy eating out at nicer places. My 3 year old loves to eat out, but we want to enjoy ourselves without worrying about him at the nicer places so we have planned to switch off to avoid taking him to a few restaurants.

I can't decide if we should switch Kona or the Wave for Narcoossee's or leave as is. Right now we are under four adult dining credits, so it could work for us. But it is another night where we split up. We have eaten at both the Wave (loved it) and Kona (loved it) but never eaten at Narcoossee's.

This is what we have so far. (We are staying at CR, BTW)

Wednesday (arrive early lunchtime)
Lunch: Contempo Cafe
Dinner: 'Ohana's

Thursday
Breakfast: Tusker House
Dinner: Cali Grill (DH and DD followed by DS and I)

Friday
Breakfast: Chef Mickey's
Lunch: Hollywood & Vine (for the characters and to get out of the sun!)
Dinner: Garden Grill (Me, DD, and 3 yr old), Les Chefs de France (DH and DS)

Saturday
Breakfast: CRT
Dinner: The Wave

Sunday:
Breakfast: Akerhaus
Lunch: Rose & Crown (will probably skip apps here or share)
Dinner: Citrico's (DD and I, followed by DH and DS)

Monday:
Breakfast: 1900 Park Fare
Dinner: Kona Cafe

Tuesday:
Breakfast: Crystal Palace

*Also, my DD will have just turned 10 and isn't too adventurous of an eater, so we plan on using kids credits for her at Citrico's and Cali Grill (think that is okay??)

Any advice? What would you do?

DH & I were underwhelmed when we had dinner at the Wave last trip, but we have always really enjoyed meals at Narcoosees. I mean, it (the Wave) was OK, not sending plates back bad, just nothing so special we see any need to go back. On the other hand I would eat at Narcoosees again, unquestionably.

So for us, I would defintely swap out the Wave for Narcoosees.:goodvibes

And I defintely like Kona better than the Wave.

Since you have never tried Narcoossee's, I would give that a shot to be honest. Im always excited to try new places and would rather not repeat an experience unless it knocks my socks off. :) Esp since you still have credits left, definitely try Narcoossee's! :thumbsup2

I would drop the Wave.
It's just "ok".
Narcoossee on the other hand, has great views, great food.

I would go to The Wave over Kona and Narcoossee's but I would go to Narcoossee's over Kona

The wave imo was so blah. everything in the room was beige, boring and dull plus there were no windows. I would skip it completely, unless I was staying at the contemporary or bay lake and wanted a quick breakfast that would be the only way i would dine there again. I def would not sort out and make a trip to the wave for any reason what so ever.

I would never trade Kona for anything. Kona is my favorite b/c of the teryaki steak and the bread and macadiam nut butter. We were not impressed with Narcoosee's at all. We had the surf and turf and the lobster was sour tasting and rubbery. The Wave menu didnt interest us. My advice is to check their menu and pick the most appealing one. :)

Thanks for the advice! I think I figured it out. We arrive pretty early on Wednesday, so perhaps we will have lunch at the Wave. Then switch our wave dinner to narcoossee's. Then we get all three!

I personally would drop the Wave. We have had both breakfast and dinner there and the service was SLOW and the food was just ok. We have always really liked Kona.

IMHO, I'd do "Kona" over "The Wave", but "Narcoossee's" is almost a must, in my book ! You've made good choices, so stick with them ! :wizard:

Changed again :-)

Hubby insists on The Wave for dinner, so he is going with the two boys while I take my DD to Artist Point.

Instead of Kona, I made a reservation at 5:35 for all of us to eat at Narcoossee's. I figure we can see how the little one is doing with eating out at that point, and if we feel it will be too stressful we will try and switch things around.
