Would you swap a late May (memorial day) date for early August?

Is it just too hot? We have only been early May and Fall. There are certain things that are just Disney to me and Soaren and BTMRR are in that equation! After trying to find dates from a canceled December trip due to work we were thinking May after kids are out. Yet with these closures I am not really interested in those dates either.

My WDW enthusiasm is down and I have tickets to use due to buying them for the stinking 60 day booking privilege. Lesson learned! We could save them but then that puts off a vacation. My heart is to go to DL but tickets are not transferable. So those who have been would you go in late summer. We do love the water parks!

I would pick May over early August for weather and potentially lower crowds.

We had to do our 2015 trip in August (we usually did March Break) because of school and work, and originally I was worried after hearing about the heat and humidity. It was very hot and humid, but since my expectations were that it would be disgustingly so, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and we were pleasantly surprised. I actually prefer August now and am planning our future trips to continue in August.

Soarin' is in my top 2 favourites, so I would choose August over May when it's down.

I'd go in May, especially if there's a 24 hour event again!!

We go every August, it is hot and humid but not as bad as people say. We find the crowds manageable. I say do what works best for you, if you won't enjoy May because of the closures then go when things you want will be open.

When do your kids go back to school? We get out before Memorial Day and start back the second full week of August. I wouldn't change if it meant getting back right before school starts, with all the things to do to get ready.(Really, I couldn't go in August anyway because of my older son's soccer schedule).
