Would you stay there?

Given the price per night (based on the one in Centralia, WA) would be comparable to the Disney owned hotels, would you stay at the Great Wolf Lodge when it opens?

Yes, Yes, Yes! We have been to the Great Wolf Lodge near Centralia several times.(the last time it was SNOWING). I would stay at the one being built near DL. Hitting the water park after a day on our feet at DL would be a great way to end a day(great way to relax). The rooms at Great Wolf are nice and quite comfortable. When the DL parks start getting a little crowded hey, just head back to Great Wolf for some waterpark fun. We look forward to the opening of the Great Wolf Lodge!

We've stayed at the one in Washington, but got a good deal during BC spring break, so we didn't end up paying Disney style price for it. It was pouring rain outside most of the time we were there, so it was great to have so much to do inside. I don't think I'd enjoy it as much in Anaheim though, since the weather is much nicer and there is so much else to do in the area. Also, it was like sleeping at a Chuck-E-Cheese.

I hate the one in Washington, way too overpriced. If I want to pay for an over priced room I will stay at DLH or GL. I only go to DL in the Summer so there is no draw for an indoor park. It works for Northern States who have crap weather for 8 months out of the year, but in California I enjoy the weather. Honestly water parks are exhausting. We love raging waters and make a day of it on our trips down there, but we come back more tired than a day at the parks. It takes everything I have just to make it to a small hotel pool for a break in the afternoon. Not worth to pay all that extra money for a few minutes in a pool. I think it is a place you should stay for a day or a two and that is it, then switch to another hotel.

Probably not. From what I understand Great Wolf Lodge is designed to be a destination unto itself, rather than a place to stay while you're visiting elsewhere. So, I wouldn't be interested in paying for the water park access at the same time I'm planning to visit Disneyland.

Why travel all the way to Southern California and then stay at a place that's in a million more easily accessible places? I've been to the one in Washington, and while very expensive, had a lovely time. But it's main benefit is that there's nothing like it within hours & hours of travel.

And while the pools & slides are neat, they just can't compete even a tiny bit with Disneyland and the million other similarly fabulous things to do in that area.

If I were to stay in the hotel, it would be to hit their waterparks all day long. Otherwise, I'd spend that high dollar amount at DLH and hit their outdoor waterslides for an afternoon break.

We will stay just to say we have been there. Given the location, it won't be out regular place to stay. But it does sound cool. We were just talking about adding an extra day/night to one of our Disney trips once it opens. We originally said that we'd make the trip from Vegas just to check it out and then quickly realized that we would never be able to be that close to DL and not go!!

I would definitely stay here as I used to live near the one in Washington. I know it probably wouldn't happen, but I would like to see it be a Good Neighbor Hotel and/or have a shuttle to the parks.

I would maybe do a split stay, but I wouldn't have this be our 'base' for our DL visit. But I could see staying here for 1 night (which gets you 2 days in the waterpark) and then transferring to our superclose DL area hotel. But yes, the water park is exhausting and I can't imagine doing the water park and DL.

I completely agree. People go to SoCal for the weather and to be outside. This place just seems out of place in Anaheim! I would not stay there, but I am definitely interested in the Coutryard Marriott that is being built over by Hojo. Their water park looks just as fun!

Too expensive. If I had that kind of money, I'd stay onsite at Disneyland. As it is, many of the new hotels being built have small water play areas and being able to walk to Disneyland is more important to me than luxury.

Nope, if I'm paying that type of money I'm staying onsite at DL, not paying for an indoor water park in Southern California.

I've wanted to visit one and probably will try it when it opens, but as a trip by itself, not in addition to Disney.

My skin has two shades - pasty pale and crispy red. I constantly have to reapply sunblock and then it inevitably runs into my eyes and makes them burn. I hate beach trips for that reason and avoid swimming pools in full sun. So I actually prefer indoor pools and an indoor water park sounds great!

Well... I'll probably stay one night. I hate changing in changing rooms, and I am always exhausted after leaving a water park, so having the water park attached to the hotel seems like a great idea. I have no clue why they decided to build it so close to Disneyland though... If Disney built this in Anaheim we would all praise it, but I don't think this company will have the draw they think they will have.
