We have the time all picked out, end of January 2006. We're planning on staying 8 nights, originally were staying only at the POR-FQ but my DH really liked the pictures of the CBR. I was thinking of surprising him & splitting our stay between FQ & CBR. We've split our stays before between AKL/WL & BWI/Poly but never at a moderate. Is their any difference, they move your luggage with no problems ? Also, since the FQ isn't very spread out I was thinking of just doing a standard view but what I've read about the CBR it's very big so I was going to request a preferred room to be closer to the main bldg. We're driving so getting to & each hotel is no problem. Any suggestions, or am I making a big mistake ? :wizard:

I don't think your making a mistake but you are getting the best of 2 worlds. I am looking to do something similar in November with FQ, CBR and CSR or just a combo of the same 2 your at. FQ is small so it is easy to get around. It is close enough to RS that you'll love to take that walk over there just to experience the atmosphere or see Bob Jackson's show or eat at Boatwrights. Don't forget to take the boat to DTD, it is a very relaxing ride.
CBR is wonderful and sure it is a bit more spread out but the theming and property are gorgeous as well. If it isn't too cold when your there you can enjoy several pools (and probably would have the quiet pool to yourself). I know people think it's a bother to move around resorts and I guess if you have a couple of children in tow than it does make it more to pack and take care of in general. If it's just adults then I find it fairly easy to move around. Split your stay and enjoy it all.

We have stayed at both and enjoyed both places. Since you are staying 8 nights I would consider splitting the stay. I would just go with a standard view at FQ. There are some lovely water views but there is no real balcony to enjoy it from. My favorite Island at CBR was Aruba; however it isn't a preferred location.

We stayed at CS 4 years ago, be sure to get a room near a bus stop, some of the outlying rooms can be quite a walk. The food court tended to get very crowded during dinner as well. We were there the week of Thanksgiving.
