RPH? We have an offsite hotel booked with the Harry Potter Package. For $356 more we can stay at RPH (MUCH nicer than what we have booked now) and we'll have the Express Line access. This if for 3 nights in early December. Just trying to weigh if it's worth it...

I would. Staying onsite just makes it a complete vacation.

I'm with damo, i would stay onsite, and so much more time to relax at resorts and Citywalk.

I'm leaning towards doing it... plus it's the kids birthday while we are there too... I'm telling myself just because of that it's worth it. :thumbsup2

I don't think you'll regret it but you may end up wishing you would have stayed onsite if you didn't.

I would vote yes too. It is worth that just to avoid the commotion on the morning when arriving at the parks...parking and the LONG walk into the park with lots of people...definately worth it!

Definately worth it, once you experience front of the line, you will never stay offiste again!! Did you check for AAA rate?

I use to ask myself the same question in 2007 but we decided to stay at the HRH and never looked back. I don't even like to go to Uni without staying on-site! We just book early and not hit the bar for a few weeks so that when the time comes the room has been paid off for weeks! being so close to the parks/citywalk and the FOTL privileges are definitely worth it!

We hit the parks early, hit happy hour then head back to the HRH to relax in the pool, rest up, shower and then head back to the parks for round 2!

Annual pass rate for RPH Dec 6-9 is $129. Have you looked into that option?

to check annual pass room rates just click on the promotion box and then put APH in where it says code. It may be cheaper to buy one pass and get the room discount. You need one preferred annual pass which is $229 and annual renewals are $140

RPH is a really nice hotel. I think it is better than the POLY.

The front of line access is a really great extra, especially with all this hype for the new stuff.

We just got back from our stay at HRH. We considered staying offsite, but opted to spend the extra money. It's just so convenient. We were able to come and go at our leisure with our hotel being just short walk or boat ride away. To me, the convenience and the Express Pass made it worth it.

I am intrigued by your idea. This sounds like a pretty good deal, since you also get 15% off tickets purchased at the gate. I am thinking of purchasing 1 preferred annual pass in order to get the room discount. I can then purchase passes for my DH, DD and DS at a discount and also qualify for discounts at Citywalk. I can't seem to access the room APH room discount for May 2001 on the website yet. I guess I will wait until the 2011 rates are out before I decide. We only visit Orlando every 2 years, so I won't be able to use the pass again, but it still seems like a pretty good deal considering a 3 day park-to-park would cost me $144.99 anyway.

The AP rates for May 2011 aren't out yet. So keep watching.

One other thing, although it may not be convenient for most people.

I priced out 3 nights and 5 nights during my trip and it was only 120 more for 5 nights.

I really do not want to do 5 nights at Universal, but it is a bargain.

When I was pricing our trip, we intended on staying for 4 nights. However, while playing around, I found the 5 nights was actually cheaper because of the deal they were running (5 nights for the price of 3). Naturally, we opted for the extra night. We're glad we did. We got 4 day park tickets, went to Seaworld one day, and spent one day at the pool. Worked out perfectly!
