Would you skip US and only do IOA?

We are mainly doing Disney but Hubby wants to go to IOA... He said he didn't care if we went to Universal, but I was thinking a lot probably has changed there since I went in 1994! He definately likes roller coasters which is IOA for sure... Because if we just spent another day at Disney (upgrading our tickets for another day) it would cost us like $3 more or something really cheap versus getting two days worth of IOA and Universal at $100 each. I know IOA for one day is still about $65 pp, but better than paying $100 each for both parks for 2 days, right?? But if we don't go to Universal will we regret it?? We don't really need to see stuff like ET or Honey I Shrunk the Kids that was there the last time I went, but what is new?

The first time I stepped on Universal property, all I went to was IOA. I had been to US in Hollywood many times so I didn't think I was missing much. I didn't regret not seeing US Orlando. I have since been back to Universal property twice and have been to US Orlando many times. While I like US Orlando, I much prefer IOA. To my surprise, US Orlando is quite different than US Hollywood...heh, I kept asking where the tram was. :rolleyes2

US Orlando does have Shrek 3-D, Jimmy Neutron, The Mummy, Men in Black, Terminator...all of which are very cool. The Mummy is the only coaster. I personally could live without ET, Back to the Future, Twister, Earthquake & Jaws.

Are you guys planning on being back in the Orlando area within the next year? If so, you can purchase 2 power passes (1 yr. pass) for $120 each. If you're a AAA member, they have 15-month power passes for $115 each. Power passes do have blackout dates which are listed on Universal's website. Just a thought. :)

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately we can't afford to go all the time to Orlando - we like to try different places. So we probably won't be back in 15 months. I think to save some money we will skip US... The Mummy and Shrek sounds cool, but I'm not really into MIB, Terminator, etc. .. So I figured no sense paying extra for a couple attractions... I know they sell 1 day park hoppers at the gate though... I guess we could do mostly IOA and then head to US for a few attractions in the same day.
