I have read many posts about skipping rotation dining rooms for a night in Palo. We are travelling with our children 5/6. My question is...how much will we really be missing by not eatting at Palo. I think my plan will be to take the kids to dinner have them eat their entree while we have our apps and then take them to the club and pick them up before we see the show. Is this possible? We have the first seating for dinner.

we did our first cruise was a 3 night and we did not want to miss the regular stuff so we skipped Palo....
And our last cruise we had reservation but did not make to Palo
having so much fun with tablemates we did not want to go.....

My DH and I don't often get a chance to go out alone without paying out the nose for a babysitter. There was no way I was going to miss Palo. No way - No how. Double dip on your rotation if you don't want to miss one of the restaurants.

On our recent 4-night - we chose to do Palo on the first night of the cruise. DD ordered room service (which was big fun for her) since the clubs do not feed the kids the first night on the cruise.

Have fun!

We had every intention of going to Palo on our last night, but when the time came didn't want to miss dinner the last night of the cruise with our kids! We really didn't feel like we were missing out because all of our dinners were excellent. However, we will NOT miss it this time around! Either way, your cruise is going to be excellent!!!!

For us it was too short, and it was a family vacation, we wanted to be with our son. We also skipped it on cruise number two which was a seven day. Still wanted to be with DS and see all the restaurants and menus. Cruise number three we made it, it was GREAT, did I regret not going the other two times, nope, they were GREAT too! We will go again this year but that is mostly because DS is now ok with being on the ship, we have eaten together in all the restaurants etc. would I be devistated if I couldn't go-nope but it is really nice :)

Since it was just my boyfriend and myself on this trip, we skipped Parrot Cay for Palo on our last night of our cruise. While it WAS wonderful, when I take my daughter, I will bring her to every one of our dinners...time passes by too quickly :)

As fun as the regular restaurants are, they pale in comparision to Palo. It is a must do.
