Would you skip DHS?

I'm thinking of doing a trip down to WDW(likely) 2015. Of course for me MK, Epcot and to a lesser extent AK is a must. But DHS is a take it or leave scenario these days. I like some of things there but I'm not sure it justifies a full days visit.

I would NEVER skip DHS, but I would always skip AK if my kids would allow me (which they won't)!

The ONLY reason I don't skip DHS is because of Fantasmic. I have even gone to DHS after dinner just to get there in line for Fantasmic. If I were going to skip a park, this would be the one.

We skipped it in the fall. We had planned to go but decided last minute to skip it and sleep in the next day. We didn't regret it at all. We will go this year, bit only bc my DS is insisting!

One of my previous short trips, we skipped HS. I was OK with that.;)

If I absolutely had to choose a skip park, it would be HS. Not saying I don't enjoy it, just #4 for me.

For us HS has many can't miss attractions for a Disney trip. DS11's top 2 rides in all of Disney are RnRC and ToT. DD9 loves theater and princesses so she can't miss the Beauty and the Beast show. Both kids always do Jedi Training and the entire family loves TSMM and Fantasmic.

What about getting a park-hopper and spending part of one day at DHS? It's not full-day park for me, but there are definitely things there that I enjoy. So I usually spend time at DHS from rope drop until around 12:30 or 1:00 then go to another park.

If I had to skip one park, it would definitely be DHS. There's nothing there that I feel like I HAVE to do, although I do love Fantasmic. ToT and RnR make me too nauseous these days, so the only time I force myself to do them is when my sister is with me. DHS is usually my half-day park.

Same here! There are too many great attractions at DHS!! ToT, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, TSM, Star Tours, FANTASMIC! On the other hand at AK....Everest but that's about it. I mean AK has other good attractions too of course, but it's just the #4 I would rather spend my valuable Disney time at the other three parks!

It's definitely our most likely to skip park as well. In fact we had never visited it at all until our 3rd trip. Even the one day we went there we had intended on staying all day to see fantasmic but the kids got bored so we ended up just going to the resort and Epcot for the rest of the day.

If I had to choose a park to skip, it would be Epcot. TOO much walking for too little fun.

Aside from the great rides, I am a people watcher, so DHS is great for me. I love finding the street performers. They're so much fun to watch. If you see enough of them, you'll notice that their stories interact.

Plus, if I ever need a break, The Great American Movie Rest is 13 minutes of air conditioning.

Even though it is my least favorite of the 4 parks it is still a must. Have to do Rock n roller coaster, Star tours, and Fantasmic.

If I were to skip a park, it would be DHS. I love Fantasmic but other than that I wouldn't miss much by not going.

No never. But it depends on what your goals are. For my family, Disney Jr show is a must as is H & V Play & dine character meal. Our last visit we didn't do TOT or RNR since kids were not tall enough. We spend at least a full day there even two days. Last visit we only spent half day at Epcot, its our least favorite for now, not much for the kids to do.

We only visit DHS every 3rd or 4th trip, so yes, we skip it frequently.

We are actually planning 2 days there this next trip so we can fit in all the shows. Plus my kids are really looking forward to lunch at H&V, they love Jake, Doc and Sofia. Epcot is the park we're scaling back on this time around.
