Would you sign up for D23 without knowing what it is?

I find it very fascinating that I have read several posts where people joined D23 in hopes that Disney will add new extras later. This leads to a curious question.

Would you have signed up for D23 knowing only that it was $75.00 for a yearly membership and nothing else?

I would want to know at least what the free gift ('free' my a**) was before parting with my money as that is a material part of the purchase.
