DD and I are going soon and instead of the QS dining plan which would've cost us $800 and served no purpose because DD 15 still eats kids' meals. So I set aside the $80 a day to spend on food. We'll eat cereal in the room and two QS meals if we're that hungry. But one thing we really want to try is snacks we've never had. I want to keep a list with me of what's not to be missed. The only thing I won't try is school bread because I hate coconut. TIA

Any cupcake from Starring Rolls at Hollywood Studios. They are huge and you could easily split one.
:goodvibes

Dont know if its still there - but outside Akershus there was an awesome bakery. DH thinks we're gong to Akershus just for the breakfast and Belle. :rolleyes1

There are quite a few locations that sell small packages of grapes or carrots and celery with ranch...they're only one of my favourites because they're also sold at the Starbucks locations and I was given a TON of their gift cards over the holidays. Even if they're not 'free' to you, they're still some of the best 'snacks' IMO.

That, and some of the Rice Krispie treats at the bakeries are yummy, too.

You used to be able to get a large rice crispie block at any bakery. Don't know why, but I loved them and I would always buy one to eat on the plane or when I got home. They disappeared and I couldn't find them anymore. Much to my delight I found them again at Karamell Kuche and now they are topped with caramel and chocolate. Bonus!

Fruit and Nutella waffle from Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom! And the cream cheese pretzel, not sure what the name if the place that sells it but it's over in Tomorrowland.

Frozen Bananas! YUM! and Mickey Bars and the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich and the ice cream shop on Main Street - sensing a pattern here???:mickeybar

Well, I have a lot of favorite snacks at Disney, so hope you don't mind my mentioning a few...

Disney popcorn is the BEST. I don't know why, but it is perfect. I like to get it before parades/fireworks at MK in a cart right at the hub, and I also never fail to have it during Fantasmic!, where they have people walking it around like at a ballgame.

Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square (MK). We usually get a funnel cake (DD's tradition), but I haven't tried the relatively new waffle sandwiches they are offering now. There is a nutella and fruit one and a spicy chicken one, and I think a ham/cheese type one that sound out of this world. I have seen pics and they are HUGE, definitely meal-worthy.

Cappuccino cupcakes at Pizza Planet (HS). Not everyone does, but DD and I also really like their pizza. :)

Kaki Gori at the Japan pavilion at EPCOT. It's like the best snow cone you ever had - I love the melon flavor and DD likes a rainbow of flavors. She also loves a watermelon slushy drink in Morocco.

Turkey legs at MK at a cart in Frontierland. Not everyone enjoys sitting on a bench and hogging down a big hunk of meat, but they are very tasty and juicy. Better than the ones outside Dinoland in AK. :p

Speaking of meat, I haven't tried it yet, but the pork shank at Gaston's Tavern in MK is on the bucket list. We do love our hunks of meat!

Have a wonderful trip, and happy snacking! :thumbsup2 Now I'm going to be thinking about this all day and I'll let you know if I think of anything else!

I would have to say a Dole Whip at Aloha Isle and then a short walk over to Sleepy Hollow for a funnel cake!

Carrot cake cookie at writers stop, HS. It's like a giant carrot cake whoopie pie--YUM!

Not really a snack but could be split between you is the apple/cheese sandwich from Kringla. It is DELICIOUS! I love it for a light meal or a snack to share when I'm looking for something savory instead of sweet.

DH MUST have a funnel cake at some point or another, either at Sleepy Hollow or the kiosk by American Pavilion in Epcot.

I too avoid the school bread due to allergy to coconut, but I'd recommend Starring Rolls anything. (It's another MUST DO for DH) They have more than just pastries/baked goods.

I haven't tried them (yet) but the caramel/candied apples always look so good.

Dole Whip float at Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom

Just don't look for "Dole" because you won't see that part of it, although that is pretty much how everyone still refers to it. Last month when we were at MK, we found that it is now just "pineapple whip" or a "pineapple float with pineapple whip" though you can get it with the other whip flavors. We only had seven of them each during our five days at WDW.

My other recommendation would be Café Liégeois at Les Halles in Epcot’s France Pavilion. I got one because I thought it looked good and, after sampling it, DW decided that it was her favorite snack of the trip and we were back there the next day for another.

that looks fabulous!

We love pineapple dole whips! DD and I got one at 10 when they opened for breakfast then got one for lunch later. they are the best.

this place a few towns over does dole whips and occasionally has pineapple. We go and they are never the same.

I don't have a huge sweet tooth but I really enjoy splitting a Dole Whip float from Aloha Isles right across from the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse. I also really love the rice cream at the Norway pavillion in Epcot, neither are too cloying for my palate.

I have a drink recommendation as well from the UK pavillion at Epcot, a Washington Apple. They are pretty sweet but delish on a hot day, its pretty much bourbon, apple schnapps (midori) and cranberry juice. SO good and a little different from the much revered Grey Goose slushes.

My favorite snack/lunch is splitting tapas at Spice Road table. Very worthwhile!

I have two faves...1st is the Carrot Cake Cookie @ Writer's Stop in Disney Hollywood Studios (I would more describe it to be more of a Carrot Whoopie Pie than a 'cookie')...and 2nd Beignets Port Orleans French Quarter.

...and NO I will NOT share...get your own TYVM! popcorn::

My DH loves the popcorn. My DD loves the Mickey ice cream sandwich. I love the chocolate covered caramel squares, chocolate covered strawberries, butterfinger cupcakes, & the strawberry cupcakes. Yum!
