Would you report this person?

I was in the Haunted game and the other team had a newbie who asked how to shoot. Her teammate said "omg" instead of helping, so both of us on the other team answered the question. But the person was not very swift on the uptake and asked again. At which point her own teammate told her to "hit the exit button." I think that is very mean!!!

I think the teammate should have been the one to click the exit button.

I agree with clarity. Would I report? Nope. I would no longer play with that person. Being a jerk is not against the VMK values LOL but I sure dont want to hang out with any...

Is lying against VMK values, because that is what she was doing. The person wanted to know how to shoot, and she told them to click the exit button. But yes, she was a jerk, and I won't be playing with her again :crazy2:

lol, i wouldn't consider it lying.

Although Yeah, Aengus is right, i would never play with them again.

Just ignore them and tell the new player to Just ignore the jerk too.

lol

If they can find the ignore button ;)

That is not a reportable offense. Unfortunately, there is no "don't act like a jerk" value...

I agree about that being a rude comment, but not reportable. The only time I have ever reported an incident from a Mansion game was when one player was frustrated because their teammate was catching loads of ghosts, leaving them with little to catch. That player then found a way to dictionary dance around the F-word.

I love playing Mansion and sometimes do get asked how to catch ghosts by new players and I always answer "use the control key" or something of that nature. If I notice another player isn't really catching anything, I will even ask them if they know how to play. I want the other team to catch their ghosts so the place is not filled with ghosts chasing me!

I agree, I would not report that person but would not play with them again.
As for the guest who needed help I would try to explain it to them during the game even if it took more than one or two times. We were all there at one point, so we should all be understanding of the newbies. If after the game you see them in the lobby you can ask if they need more help with it, too.

i agree with angus 80/100 JK i agree with him 100/100

I absolutely would not report the person.

They have not done anything against the VMK values, and I know it is frustrating when people ask questions over and over (usually it is because they are bad typers and are not following what people are saying because they are too busy typing)...

I would avoid playing with that person in the future if it made you feel bad.

i would not report them either, i'd just go to a new game room and if i ran into that person again, i would click the ignore button

I think that is really rude. I don't think vmk would do anything if reported, but I would put her on my ignore list

I hate it when experienced players think they have the right to belittle Guests.
And besides not all guests are new. Some of them might be new accounts made by old players (me and my brother make alot of accounts but not as much since we only have one computer now and cant use our mules.) And some people lose there names and go back to Guest until a new name can be approved. So if you see a newbie just stop and ask if they need help. Remember, Were all in this together!:grouphug: and that shows it. We should see more:grouphug: & then  &:sad2: And maybe we'll start having :hippie: and we can :dance3: as much as we want.

Making VMK a safe place is not just staff's job it's yours.

You should've told her that we were all noobs at somepoint.
That's a definate fact.

Also, it's pretty sad how some people can be.

I think that if the conversation had vulgarity or violence it would be reported immediately.

Btw noobs is a very rude word to say, please don't use them
And stop titling people guest unless there sig says title guest bc maybe the guest wants to be called something else.

lol right on :thumbsup2 this is not an act to report but it was very kind of you to help the guest, thank you so much for making that guest feel more welcome and for helping VMK for the better :flower3:
