Do breakfast at CP at 8:15 or CM at 10:20 on your first trip to Magic Kingdom with an almost-3-yr-old? TIA!

CP all the way for us! CM would be a bit inconvenient to get to, once you are in the park and enjoying it. As long as it isn't EMH that morning, going into the quiet park is a lovely experience, IMHO.

CP! There's something magical about being on Main Street before the park opens. Go early so you can spend some time taking pics before you checkin. I think the food is better at Crystal Palace as well. A 2 year old will be just as thrilled with Pooh and Friends as Mickey, right?

My family has done both those exact ressie's and I will have to say that CP @8:15 is much better. We arrived early got pictures of the family with the castle with no other people around. The food is fresher and the atmosphere is much better@CP in my opinion.(No birds whizzing by your head while trying to eat) We met all the characters in less then one hour and enjoyed MK before it got too crowded. Also because you have an almost 3year old it involves a lot less travel.

You can find the Chef Mickey's characters just about everywhere in the parks - MK, Epcot, HS, AK, other character meals.....

Pooh characters are harder to get time with... Crystal Palace's food is great... and like others said, if you get in the park before opening, makes for some nice photos on your way to the restaurant.

Crystal Palace at 8:15 most definitely!

1. I love getting in to the Magic Kingdom before it opens and strolling down Main Street.
2. Yummy food!
3. Great characters for your almost 3 year old.
4. I am a Chef Mickey's hater. We HATED the food there.
5. That 10:20 time is a weird time to have to leave the park and get to the ressie. You're missing prime touring time there.

Another vote for CP! The timing is better, the location is better, and your 3 year old will love the characters!

One more for CP! The food is lovely, the characters darling and the restaurant itself is so bright inside! Its wonderful being in the park before opening and getting the calm before the storm!
